Such a sweet gesture and I know that every time I wear it - I will feel his unconditional love and forgiveness towards me. He had me put it around my neck and wear it while we talked and prayed on my beautiful porch for a couple hours on a perfect weatherwise day! Me with my fly swatter, wine glass, and rosary..
"Mom due to Labor Day holiday we will not be praying from Sunday into Monday tonight in front of Jesus, so I wanted to pray together now. I will miss our time in Adoration."
Watching the kids work together was a special thing for grandma to witness.
Simon, Mary, David, Rose and Luke sharing the fair, and now the cleanup!
The Gospel today of Jesus healing the man with the withered hand on the Sabbath from Luke 6 - the command of Jesus to us with our withered faith and sufferings as a result - "Come and stand before us." So meaningful and real after my powerful reconciliation just days ago now. Laying all my sins and darkest secrets at the feet of the Lord at the foot of His Cross!
Thinking that it is a secret is totally ridiculous! Jesus sees all, and why even have these dark hidden areas of sin that we protect and indulge... talk about "darkness and the shadow of death." How freeing it is to come up and stand before our Lord and humbly with great regret for our sins - lay them at his feet!
A call from France this morning from our nun! So wonderful to hear her love and wisdom on the phone as if she is there sitting next to me! As we all face those big problems and hurts in our families that come with LIFE... Her words of encouragement - "Mom, all will be well in the end. It might not turn out the way we want or expect, but all will be well in the end." Through the Cross we find LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT and we can't give up HOPE!
“Come up and stand before us.”
And he rose and stood there.
Then Jesus said to them,
“I ask you, is it lawful to do good on the sabbath
rather than to do evil,
to save life rather than to destroy it?”
Looking around at them all, he then said to him,
“Stretch out your hand.”
He did so and his hand was restored. Luke 6
Yes, Lord it is for us to do good as you are all that is good and right... we must return that unconditional love and forgiveness we have been given by you to those we encounter each day - most especially those the closest to us in our domestic Church/family! Those that have been given to us in a very special close and personal way, and those that as a result of that closeness hurt us the most! "Wounded, I will never cease to LOVE!"
I cannot be there for which my heart longs - my beloved Inland Sea- Lake Michigan, but I am being blessed with pictures that give me peace and joy! I am so blown away by the deep wisdom we are given by this down to earth Saint! So true - without LOVE we are clanging gongs and cymbals - with LOVE our smallest work is a beautiful symphony!
Prayer is every breath that I take and every beat of my heart - Jesus and Mary, Jesus and Mary, Jesus and Mary....
Help me Lord and Lady! I have a log in my eye!
St Joseph too!!!
Such an amazing prayer from my dad in Morning prayer today!!! ..."Through your suffering a new patience; and in your resurrection, a new hope..."
St Mother Teresa today ... may we to do our work with so much love! See Jesus in ALL in our lives!
May we never reject the unconditional love and forgiveness Jesus has for us because of our foolish pride... may nothing be more important to us than Jesus with the help of His Bride, The Church. Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barbara

Most merciful Father, thank you for this day of work with all its achievements as well as its burdens. Thank you for all the successes, the challenges, and even the difficulties that it brought to me. Your Son once said to His Apostles, "Come by yourselves to an out-of-the-way place and rest a little." Thank you for this gift of rest. May this time be a chance for me to renew my gratitude for all your blessings. In your great compassion and generosity, please be mindful of those who are out of work. And help me to do a better job tomorrow. I ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
