2 1/2 year old Jude with my future kitten Griz!
My soft buddy Corny did not make it. He was run over a few days ago, and there were tears shed.
I had to take many of this sweet soft moment with our little Jude Dale Verly! I think he will like to visit him at grandma's house.
I missed wishing these two a wonderful 11th anniversary on the Feast of St Augustine - August 28th! They will soon be adding #6!
Yes, it is tomato canning day! This was about 8 years ago in my former farm house - we will be there today, but in Ruth's canning kitchen. Ruth was soon to have Luke in November in her beautiful pregnancy and now she is expecting #7 a son in November once again. Many prayers for her and the baby!
Nancy will be joining us with her tribe today so it will be a crazy wild day of family doing the work!
I love to do girls' hair! Since having my 4 girls in a row... I had the joy of doing Joy's hair in Kateri braids yesterday and got to have a conversation with her about how St Kateri was an Indian girl that loved only Jesus, and wanted to marry him. "And no one else?" "Yes, Joy. Just like your Aunt Little Sister Hallel."
Praying for Fr Denny on Friday - he was there on the altar setting up for a wedding rehearsal. So powerful to have him there in front of me while I prayed!
At the end of my hour... Jesus came in and kneeled by the 10th Station of the Cross! I had to go over and say "hello" as I had been so deeply with Jesus for that hour of prayer and tears.
I said; "I am sorry to interrupt you, but you look just like Jesus." He mentioned that he should probably trim his beard... He asked me my name and then told me that his name was Isaac. I then went on about how the 10th station, where he was sitting was very powerful for me. "My daughter, who is now a nun, would sit here morning after morning for her holy hour. I asked her if she sat here due to this being about humility. 'No, mom, I sit here because it is the last pew with a kneeler and I don't want people to see me cry." Isaac then said to me; "It looks like the Lord is trying to tell you something." Yes, indeed!
Another Anniversary from long ago - Their oldest son, Augustine, is now 10!
It was also a year ago that they won Our Sunday Visitors' Innovators competition! Their ministry is so important and powerful and that was recognized and encouraged!

Sweet Joy is growing up and will be going to Preschool next week... every other day all day. She is excited!

Time to get to canning with this sweetheart!
Last year we canned at my place as dad was living here! How I still have his prayers and guidance with me each day!
Kateri certainly understood suffering in her short life, and to have Our Lady of Sorrows this month is so powerful and she certainly understands our pain after being at the foot of the Cross where her Son of God died for us! Go to Mary... she understands our pain! Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barbara
