I had already had a loss between Ruth and Nancy, then 2 after Susan. and 3 after John! We faced the pain of loss as a family and as a result we valued each other and ALL LIFE with total love! The 5 with us on our journey in this world are pure LIGHT and JOY to Pat and I and each other! The 7 in heaven - one set of twins are keeping our eyes and hearts on heaven to meet them someday and their prayers are felt for us as we stagger down the narrow path carrying/dragging our Most Cherished Cross!
Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: Our marriage stories - "The world needs LIGHTS!"
Family is the best gift there is and there is no comparison to stuff!
Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: The story of little Lamb - grandson Patrick
How we love our blue!!! So excited to know that LS Benedict is coming back to the U.S. in October!
Breakfast on the breezy porch after sharing mass as a family! Birdie will probably be a part of this new group as she is just a year older than Maggie.
The Gospel today is one of being open to LIFE and raising LIGHTS for the world of sin and darkness.
“If anyone wishes to be first,
he shall be the last of all and the servant of all.”
Taking a child, he placed it in their midst,
and putting his arms around it, he said to them,
“Whoever receives one child such as this in my name, receives me;
and whoever receives me,
receives not me but the One who sent me.” Mark 9
When I look at my daughters with their large families - I see how they are the servant of all with all they do each day to feed and care for all the needs that comes with kids young and older! It is a sacrifice of LOVE!
Spending the last 4 days with Ruth's kids - I heard from 4 year old Joy how much she loves and adores her mommy! "Mommy does____, Mommy does ____. My Mommy is the best!" Yes!!!
Hallel and John in France with Our Lady of Lourdes in 2011! Hallel went there last week to pray for all of her family! She is one of our very special prayer warriors, and we are lifted up by her prayers as she has mass and receives her Spouse, Jesus, every day and has hours of prayer with Jesus in Adoration each day! So in LOVE with Jesus and his Bride, The Church!Yesterday Pat took all the kids but Rose along to work on some fence. "Give Rose a job and make her work, too!"
This girl went along with grandpa and then came back and went and picked the tomatoes and strawberries! All that were in her shirt when she got to the house were the tomatoes - the strawberries were yummy!
Such a busy farm girl! She also picks the eggs each day!
A memory in France 10 years ago for Hallel's first vows! Pat's big tan arm - how we are blessed by our daughter's "yes" to be a Little Sister of the Lamb - Bride of Christ!
My brother, Phil, working in his restaurant this morning close to where mom and dad lived together up until 2 years ago when they moved to Assisted Living. Mom than died in March 2020, and dad 7 months later here in our farm monastery! LOVE and miss them terribly!
7 years ago - Ruth and Paul just back from Washington with FFA. I guess that the kids were with grandma then too.
Such an amazing sharing by mom's Pope Benny today! The struggle is real!!! How I love to be reminded of Mary crushing this under her heel! And St Michael's battle for us!
I am nothing without You, O Lord!
How I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE The Church with my ALL! No reservations whatsoever! I shared this with my parents, who brought all of us into The Church 50 years ago, and with my entire domestic Church/family! Bless-bless, Barbara
