Nancy and Bill are in the midst of a new ministry called the Domestic Church project where families are led to share their faith in their homes!
Maria with her newborn Romeo, who just turned 7. It is wonderful to see the legacy of Patrick Verly carried forth now into the next generation!
At our engagement weekend - we were the only couple that shared how we wanted to have a big family. After ALL the others shared that they would have at most 2 children due to the mess of this world... It made me question if we were being selfish to want to have many children? Pat's answer with no hesitation whatsoever..."The world needs lights!" Yes!!!
Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: Our marriage stories - "The world needs LIGHTS!"
Soon she will also welcome her new baby brother, and be called upon to help mom with him, too.
The most recent picture of my domestic Church/family only missing Hallel and granddaughter, Maggie Rose born in May.A friend wrote about this - "Your family fills up the Church!" Yes, we do! My greatest JOY is that we share our entire Catholic Faith as a family! No matter what distance separates us we are united in The Eucharist each Sunday wherever we are! Open to LIFE and raising LIGHTS with the help of Jesus, Mary and The Church!
Added Hallel to make it complete! Now with a new granddaughter, and 2 more - a grandson and a granddaughter to soon arrive - the picture always needs to be updated!
My gift from Maria for Christmas last year, and a daily reminder of how we are to offer it up. LIFE is not a bowl of cherries - it is a daily struggle and we are weak and need to have Jesus help us as we stagger down the narrow path carrying/dragging our Most Cherished Cross!
Our Domestic Church/family was expanded to include hundreds with the"yes" of our Susan to come into The Community of the Lamb in 2008. Who said that taking a vow of Celibacy makes your family sadly smaller with no grandchildren... not true! So many Little Sisters and little brothers are now part of our family and their prayers have been huge for us in all that we face from John's brain cancer to grandson, Patrick, born dead and brought back to life! Each time we face struggles we have them praying with us! So blessed!
I cannot get over my own discerning a vocation has now given me a Bride of Christ - my 4th daughter, Susan/Little Sister Hallel! So amazing to me that time to time I am allowed to taste a personal time of deepest prayer and the Sacraments as I am allowed to spend days with them! There are some fake plans of me and a couple daughters go to Kansas City over MEA! Also hubby wants to go when the crop and harvest is done! How we love our Family of the Lamb just 6-7 hours away from our farm!

Johnny with Rose Again some years ago. This is now Ruth's home and all is changed on the inside!John now with wonderful wife, Bobbi, and children, Jude and Birdie. We are so grateful for this answer to John's prayers!
Joyce and Joy in Ruth's new kitchen - her command center where she can watch all that is happening in the busy farm yard. Checked with hubby and things are going "good" with harvest today. "I am driving right through the corn plant, and that is appreciated." Many prayers for the farmers and for all that it will take to get this years' crop out safely and sanely."
LOVE the smiles and JOY and the beauty from this vantage point of the early fall landscape which frames our farm lives with the Bounty of the Earth as we do all the work to feed the world!
Hubby struggled with all the changes Ruth made to our old farm house, but I knew that someday he would sit on her beautiful porch and smile and say to himself - "Now I see that it was all a good and wonderful change for the better!" and so it has become!
“Whoever receives this child in my name receives me,
and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.
For the one who is least among all of you
Praying with son, John, and doing my litany of more and more - over 250+ ! My hour is filled with Faith/Family/Farm - "Jesus, and Mary, I love you. Save souls!"
Mom's daily devotions of Pope Benedict XVI is lately on Marriage and today being open to Family! Yes, The Church is the great family upon which our domestic Church/family is based and from which flows all Truth, and LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT! Jesus and Mary - the Lord and Lady rule! Now dad and St Vincent de Paul from the Office of Readings today! The poor in our midst are those we are given for our journey.
