5th Sunday of Lent/Adulterous woman - forgetting what lies behind but straining forward to what lies ahead...Christ Jesus

Using old pictures from years ago on the farm... a familiar sight of my strong farmer hoisting a calf on his shoulder to take it back to it's mother after warming it in the house.  Now we have a warming box to put them in with fan and heater on cold days.
2 year old Mary was such a favorite topic of photos for her grandmother along with her older brother Simon.  She is now a goat farmer with 3 new baby kids on the ground and more to come in this next week.
So sweet and brave that continues to this day of a soon to be 16 year old farmer!
Simon on his favorite "bouncy seat" tractor!
Such thick hair and so many curls in the red truck with ground hay 14 years ago.
That cookie looks yummy!
It is!
This picture... So soft and sweet!
How did the time go so fast!  I still have little Thomas on the farm to follow around and do a photo shoot.
Rubber boots and hay fight!
Eye contact makes this super special!
 Now in color!
Hayfetti!  The caption - Yeah!!!  Celebration time!
We covered the entire work of a little 2 year old farmgirl in cute bibs, rubber boots and blue eyes and curly blond hair!
Used many times over the years on cards that I make!  A photo story of farmgirl Mary.
There is the blue warming box for calves in the cold!
Oh, 2 pairs of blue eyes and blue pillow case.  This is where mom now has her sink and command station on the farm.  6 years ago we traded places, and Ruth, Paul, Simon, Mary and their 5 younger siblings are the farm family on the farm!

Always spring kittens - now 2022 version 14 years later!
Two mother cats side by side with almost identical kittens!  One basket is 2 weeks older and have their eyes open.
Luke, Snowball and 4 month old Thomas.
Those fingers are finding his mouth now both hands!
Oh my!  All grey with fuzzy fur!
Talk about relaxed with each other.
Bothers and kitten on this 5th Sunday of Lent!  Today the Gospel was the woman taken in Adultery! Jesus, tells her that her sins are forgiven and go and sin no more.  These words from St Paul in Phil 3 - Just one thing: forgetting what lies behind
but straining forward to what lies ahead,
I continue my pursuit toward the goal,
the prize of God’s upward calling, in Christ Jesus. Phil 3

Yes, she is forgiven and now is called to go forward with the help of The Holy Spirit dwelling in her.  In Christ Jesus!

The sweet happy eyes and softness of a new baby kitten.
Simon on the bales in the sun with Thomas our cat for many years!  We smile now to have our grandson Thomas and Tom Tom is also a name we call him - the same as our cat!
Boots in the puddles coming back from getting the mail.  Little Simon!
Hole in the barn wall and the cute little red mitten!
Classic asleep on the tractor seat while we are working with the cows and calves years back - Simon is now 17 and he was a little over one here.  Back in 2006
Ruth pregnant with Mary in spring of 2006 - her birthday is April 19th, so probably just 16 years ago from now.  This is her pet cow, Carmel, whom she showed at many fairs.  She has her new calf - maybe her last of many calves over the years!

This Sunday has been filled with mass, shopping and breakfast with 17 on the farm, hours on the phone changing our TV plan so that hubby can watch his Twins starting this week, and now a step back in time with pictures from 15 years ago!  Many things have changed yet remained the same in many ways.  We continue to need to leave behind our sins in the confessional and strain ahead following Jesus as we carry/drag our Cross and stagger down the narrow path.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen

Thomas looking and smiling while oldest brother, Godfather Simon leads the singing so wonderfully today!
Simon uses his voice to share his gifts at mass!
Birdie Barbara and Thomas are getting to know each other!
Meal prep by many and grace before we share brunch after mass!
The spread...  Homemade rolls from Paul's mom were so good!
4 families today!
That's not a painting on the wall - it is the huge front picture window that is our window on the world
A special article in the Catholic Servant in an interview of a nun in the Poor Clare Monastery in Sauk Rapids where Maria discerned for 5 months in 2004!  So good!
24/7 connection with the One Who knows more than Google!

Maybe she is being called?  Religious LIFE is a beautiful option and I want each of my children and now grandchildren to consider it as a option - asking the Lord to show them the plan he has just for them alone!  Bless-bless, Barbara with the 50 - 33 here and 17 in heaven including our parents.
