Here comes the storm - more calves?/"...You will follow later."/When we see our nun most often - Easter time!

Oh my!!!  What a sweet memory of our nun coming for her home visit 9 years ago!

Over to see Pat's mom in her home with John and Hallel.  Mom looks so wonderful, and this was 3 years before her passing.  Her home was her favorite place in the world and with the help of her daughters and daughter in laws she was able to live and die there after 2 years on hospice!

Down to Kansas City 7 years ago.  Flooded by wonderful memories with our nun at this time of year!  Her Community sends them to share Holy Week and Easter with other foundations.  And so we are blessed with seeing her there from time to time.  I guessed wrong that our second American little Sister would be living in Kansas City, but we are able to see her in KCK a lot of Easters!
Back to her snowy home visit in 2013.  Baby Bernadette
The 3 littles in 2013 - Rose was a crabby one!
Daddy calmed her down and stayed out of the picture!

I am over "watching" cow TV as I have been told numerous times that when there is a storm there will be a flurry of calves.  So far one that Paul noticed had a foot back, so his diligence saved a life!  "I had to push it back in and bring that leg forward and then it came right out safe and sound."

Love that Nancy took so many nice pictures 9 years ago with her wonderful camera!  Yes, we all treasure our time with our Susan/Little Sister Hallel!

She flew to KCK from France about 2 weeks ago, and we had some fake plans to get a place and a bunch of us go and share Easter with The Community  at Lumen Christi/Light of Christ monastery.  But Hallel asked us to hold back as they are going to have about 40 young adults sharing the Triduum with them, and will be very busy.

Hallel with miracle boy - Patrick, who is 9 healthy years old now.  Hallel and her Community's prayers were huge in his healing after being born dead and brought back to life!

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: The story of little Lamb - grandson Patrick

So precious!  Hallel now wears the Lamb after taking her final vows almost 3 years ago!  All 24 of us went to France, including 3 in the womb!  Pat's mother made it possible with her inheritance to us, and I know that she was smiling as she went along at age 92 to France for Hallel's first vows in 2011!  Such a prefect way for her to support her son and his family!

2 brothers and a sister in law plus 3 in the womb in Saint Pierre, France in August of 2018!  Thanks, mom!!!

Hallel with Patrick in the waters of Baptism 9 years ago!  I had just baptized Patrick in the middle of the night in NICU in El Paso, TX.  He was "the sickest baby in NICU."  So grandma got some sterile water and baptized him "In the name of The Father, and of The Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen"  He quickly recovered and has never looked back!

This from my dad's Prayer of The Church - Office of Readings today
So much that spoke to my dad and he pointed out to me today about our being "buried with Him in baptism"
I have 3 new grandchildren that have passed through the waters of Baptism in the last year!  Also recollecting the special connection I have with now 9 year old grandson, Patrick.  We receive it only once because there is only one death and one resurrection!  May we recall this each time we bless ourselves with the holy water.
Recalling this great song - Peter Mayer - Holy Now.

"Swimming in a sea of it!"  Holy water!!!

So much has happened in these 9 years!!!  Nancy and Hallel lived in KCK for 3 years and saw each other weekly.  Nancy now lives here in Delano , MN, and we will all be together with our nun on the farm for a home visit in a couple weeks... so excited!!!  All 32 of us - only missing Major Joseph!
Hallel is a Dominican, so Dominic is a special nephew as the namesake of her founder.
2 years ago today was Easter Sunday and the pandemic had closed down the church for mass.  Our Delano family in 2020.  Nancy added Regina Maria in December.  Yes, 3 girls and 3 boys!
Our Fort Lewis, WA family on base have since added Maggie Rose, who will be 1 in May.  Maria and her 7 are flying in to spend our precious days with Hallel on the farm in Marshall!
John and Bobbi with Jude - Easter 2020.  They added Birdie a month later!
Ruth and Paul Easter 2020 which was on this day 2 years ago.  They added Thomas Robert in November!  The pattern continues with boy-girl-boy-girl-boy-girl-boy!
A prelent visit to our nun in KCK in 2020.  We are not to communicate during Lent and Advent.

I find Jesus' Word to us in the Gospel today comforting and promising - "You will follow later."
I stumble and fall and fail and sin and make a mess of my journey as I stumble down the narrow path carrying/dragging my Most Cherished Cross - but I always have heaven forever with Jesus, Mary, the Saints, mom and dad, my 7 children and 6 grandchildren as my goal with HOPE in my heart, mind and soul...  Jesus, tells me and his disciples that we will follow him!

Simon Peter said to him, “Master, where are you going?”
Jesus answered him,
“Where I am going, you cannot follow me now,
though you will follow later.”  John 13
What is wrong Tom?
All of them trying to get their bellies up off the ground.  The kittens will before Tom!

So he continues - on April 16th he will be 95!  How my mom loved this picture of Pope Benny - she had it folded in her daily book of meditations by him!  She left it behind for me and read it through and through 10 years in a row!!!
Trust in Him!
Yes!
My dad's favorite verse!
Bernadette 6 years ago with her Mary garden - In KCK with green grass!
Another bad patch of weather, means lots of work and prayers for and by the farmers!
Isaiah is so beautiful!
Our Church gives us so much!!!  Each day is a gift of all that we need to take us deeper into His LOVE and forgiveness, which we in turn need to share with those the closest to us in our domestic Church/family!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barbara
A bit of humor!
Come Holy Spirit!  How I rejoice at the men that have listened to the Holy Spirit direct their lives!  My dad and my husband!
Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: Our marriage stories - "The world needs LIGHTS!"
Holy week!!!  Walking with Jesus as he gives His LIFE for me!
