Time with hubby is always unexpected and filled with sharing/Oh, Susanna!/"The LIGHT of LIFE"= LOVE is Jesus!

"It's a child. Not a choice"

Pat in his newly acquired Prolife hat - realizing that his Trump hat is no longer appropriate, although there are still those times in his frustration with our country and our world that he still will wear it with the not so hidden message - "Please get some common sense and make some changes when it comes to LIFE and to our earth!"

Just back from unexpected time with my hubby - a meeting, then he jumped in the car and went along with me to deliver Meals on Wheels in Balaton, and out for lunch, then in the pickup to get a couple day old calves... My head is spinning and my heart is full!

What a blessing to us!  John and I share with Jesus and Mary in the Adoration chapel in the middle of the night when our hours overlap!  A good half a hour of deep felt sharing and a lot of gratitude to find ourselves sharing our Faith together here 13 years after his half hearted prayer for Faith found him facing brain cancer - now healed, married and father of 2!

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: John's cancer stories

His Spirit Juice video...

Pat and I a year ago today - Easter and so much green!  A lot different this year.  These were 3 of our 4 youngest last year, and now we have added 3 more!!!  So excited to all be togher only minus Major Joseph at the end of the month!

One thing about all the unexpected time doing this and that with hubby... he is amazing at communication!  And we are so thrilled to share all that is going on in our domestic Church/family!  Much of it is sharing our Faith as a family and we worked on our Easter Plans while on the road... It will not be going to KC to be with our nun as she is very busy with 35 young adults sharing the Triduum with The Community!

10 month old Birdie Barbara a year ago - now she is just 2 months away from being 2 and boy does she love to talk too well.  Pat calls her Birdie the Boss!

So with the answer to going to KC for Easter is "no". We are delighted to know that our "family tradition" since Pat worked with those entering The Church when our kids were still at home - attending the Easter Vigil as a family and then going the only place open at that time on pre-Easter night - Applebees for a large assortment of appetizers!  We fill up the place and it is a special family time indeed!  Hubby Pat - "We have a lot of family traditions, like our brunch after mass each Sunday, and that is a good thing!"

This year it will be the real Susan/Hallel!  We are so happy and excited!  I will be doing crazy things like driving up to pick up Maria in the Cities with her 7 on Monday the 25th at 11p, and get back to the farm by 2a.  Rest up the next day and then bright and early - about 5a on Wednesday the 27th start for Kansas City to get their about noon, spend a few hours and then grab Hallel and head back to the farm about 9 or 10p!  14 hours on the road, but at least Susan/Hallel can help me drive on the way home!

It is all worth it to me!  And maybe Hallel's Goddaughter, 14 year old Therese can come along with me as she will be here from Fort Lewis, WA!

I had to smile today when I saw the first reading at mass about Susanna!  I recall years ago that Susan asked me where her name was in the Bible.  I pointed out Susanna's story of purity and Truth!  I imagine her sharing it today a mass in her daily mass and pouring over/chewing the readings/Gospel with The Community of the Lamb!  I know that she will smile in her inner temple remembering her birth name given by her dad and I - Susan Angela Agnes!

In Babylon there lived a man named Joakim,
who married a very beautiful and God-fearing woman, Susanna...  Daniel 13

A year ago today on Easter Sunday!

You can really see the green pastures and yard in this picture - Paul's green CCC Christmas shirt, too!

Farmer Mary with an armload of her baby goats last year - she already has 3 this year with more due this week!  They will be a big hit with the mob of grandkids we will have around the farm in a month!  22 to be exact!!!
Maria and Major Joseph a year ago on Easter Sunday!  She had Maggie on May 12th - she will get to sit on mom's lap for the trip from Fort Lewis, WA to the Cities and back again!  So over the moon excited!!!
The Servers last year - have been invited to serve again this year!  Mary said "yes"
The LIGHT came into the World!  The Gospel today!!!

Jesus spoke to them again, saying,
“I am the light of the world.
Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness,
but will have the light of life.”   John 8:12

There is no greater JOY than to share that LIGHT/LIFE/LOVE/Jesus and His Bride, The Church, as a family!  So powerful to know that we are united in our Faith/Family/Farm!  Jesus tells us today that He is LIGHT of LIFE!  And we know that He is LOVE!  That about covers how HE comes to us if only we leave ourselves behind and turn to Him!  Dying to self so that He lives in us!  Unconditional LOVE and forgiveness that we are to return to all those around us - most especailly those the closest to us! "Wounded, I will never cease to love."

Ruth holding her Goddaughter, Birdie, at the Easter Vigil a year ago.  Now Ruth has in many ways stepped back to square one with her 4 month old on, Thomas, and she will be caring for him at the Vigil.  Birdie is interested in her baby cousin, too.
Grandpa loves to share family traditions with as many as want to join in the Vigil and celebration afterwards!  He had just had shoulder surgery on April Fools day last year - now just a distant memory and pretty much back to normal!  That cow has calved and did not hurt anyone this year, but they were extra careful around her!  Lesson learned the hard way!

13 year old David showing off the baby kitten with eyes open.  The cuteness factor goes up with that happening.  Spring kittens come now into the next generation.  Our kids and dad with his siblings always had spring kittens!  Pat says that they are keeping the mice out of the hay shed!
8 year old Luke with baby brother and baby kitten yesterday... Talk about getting used to baby kittens from day 1 - almost!
Talk about cute alert and fuzzy too!!!
There is always new life in this house of some sort or another!  LIFE is a gift and brings LIGHT into the world!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barbara and the 50 - 33 here and 17 in heaven including our parents!
Thinking of Jesus yesterday in the Gospel from John 8 - His forgiving the woman taken in adultery, yet telling her to go and sin no more!

Jesus showed this Truth!

Brother Victor so sweet today and reminding us that there is no returning to winter!  Yes!!!
