Last week I had the joy of having my parents here for a few days. My dad sat over by the huge picture window in the front of our house praying and reading his prayers and office of the deaconate. In our family we all know that we are covered in prayer by my parents... my dad prays for each member of our family by name daily! Just back from mass with John on this feastday of St Ignatius... the man who started the Jesuit- Society of Jesus order, and also developed the Ignation Exercises. My parents were starting the Ignation Exercises at the Cenacle Convent about 41 years ago, and my dad was meditating on Isaiah 55: 1-2, when the Holy Spirit told him that he should leave his Protestant ministry and join the Catholic Church... in the next year all 13 of us - my parents and 11 children took our first Communion as Catholics together at Christmas Midnight Mass at the Cenacle Convent! Each day has been filled with majesty for me ever since! I am filled to overflowing by the blessings of this journey! Thank you, Lord!
My dad as a Permanent Deacon at Joe and Maria's wedding! The blessings are always and forever! Jesus, we are forever changed and our hearts are reborn in your Catholic Church! St Ignatius, in following your call and ministry we are brought into the Truth and the Way and the LIFE! Jesus, we trust in you! Amen and Halleluia
Dad reading the Gospel at Maria's wedding. Bless-bless, Barb
Off for a big day of FAIR...with a rosary in my pocket. Please join me in prayer for safety for Joseph in Alghanistan.
"At the name of Jesus, every knee should bend,of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Phil 2: 10-11
Heaven comes to earth in the MASS! Feed us, O Lord!
