I am about to get to know my newest granddaughter, Rose Ida, really quick and well. Her mom just left for her first day back as a nurse, and Rose and I are going to figure out things for a day without her mom to care for her and feed her. Wish us luck and of course we will share prayer! Every time I hear the word Rosary - I think about my little Rose, so that means that I think about her a lot! The rosary is the silent repeated prayer that is the background and underlying grounding to prayer of my days! Three years ago the rosary was the lifeline keeping me grounded in the face of John's brain cancer... grounded to the Truth that Jesus is in control in the midst of the storm! I am who I am - an old sinful woman, who tries to pray without ceasing and the rosary helps me on this venture! Our Spiritual Mother is my model for being the mother that I hope to be for my family - and that includes so many more than my natural children! She allows me to bring them to Christ at all times and in all situations!
Lord, help Rose and I to get to know and love each other - allowing her mom to serve those sick as their nurse. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Halleluia
Bless-bless, Barb
St Bridget, you raised a large family and worked hard in the ways of faith... show us the way.
