Ruth with her 4 after mass tonight as we all prepare for the snow and possible storm tomorrow.... making punch with lime sherbet and 7up! I am very excited about a series that Nancy has begun on her blog - http://www.dosmallthingswithlove.com/ on Christian motherhood! She invited 3 others to share including her sister, Maria. How wonderful to read the words and thoughts of both of my girls - Nancy and Maria! Nancy asked me not to borrow from this blog, so I would ask you to take the time to go and read their sharing.
The two brothers getting ready for family movie night! Nothing should come in the way of promoting a Christian HOME filled with Jesus and his Bride, the Church!
This is what I wrote on her Facebook page as my answer to what is a Christian mom... http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/Smallthingswithlove?fref=ts Most importantly being a Christian mom means being open to LIFE, and embracing the Cross that comes with giving up our selfishness and selfcenteredness for our children. It also means taking very seriously the call to raise LIGHTS in this world, and pass on with great joy the Truth of Faith. Having a home filled with children rather than things, and centering it on Christ and his Bride, the Church, is the most beautiful masterpiece called FAMILY! Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barb
