The ever famous COW TV

Cow TV by the radiant heat of the woodstove is keeping us up on what is going on with the cows about to have their calf.  We are still to have our first one born, but Pat feels good that he is ready this year.  Pat and I come out to take a look every time we get up to the bathroom overnight... it adds up to about every couple hours.  So much better than when Pat would have to get dressed and go out a few times a night to check them!  Now if there is something going on... he can hopefully see it, and go out to help if needed.
We don't have the TV on during the day, but for calving season it pretty much never gets turned off.  Now we are ready for whatever comes - we even have a warming box to put the newborn calves in during this cold spell.  It looks like a blue doghouse with a lid that opens up, and you put the wet newborn baby calf in there and a heater blows warm heat on it til it is all blown dry and toasty warm!  That will be a life-saver in this terrible cold weather.  So go ahead and come new babies - we are ready for you!  Jesus, we place calving in your hands, and ask that with our efforts, and being prepared that all will go well.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb

Rosie has met kitties and doggies, and soon she will meet her first ever baby calf, and grandma will get lots of pictures of that!  I am already dreaming of having the 3 new grandkids with cute baby calves in the barn in April... and maybe little sister Hallel will be there with them too!  I always am dreaming of new pictures, and these are getting me super excited!!!

Patrick looks like he is super excited to come and meet some super cute and soft baby calves!  Grandma and grandpa can't wait either!
