A candle lit in the darkness... spread the LIGHT-HOPE far and wide!

Light has filled the darkness!  Jesus is born anew in our hearts after the preparation of Advent!  How wonderful and amazing are the weeks of Advent - reminding us in such a powerful way that we need to be ready for his coming into our hearts, minds, souls totally and without reservation!  We have had His Word proclaimed to us - Make a dwelling place for Jesus within your hearts- this is where you can find happiness and JOY while on this journey of LIFE-LOVE-LIGHT!
Simon leading the candle light procession for David's birthday on the 21st!
Looking out on the beauty of this Christmas day after a covering of a soft white 3 inches of snow - making the world look clean and refreshed!  We see that LIGHT glowing from the manger with the precious new LIFE of a newborn son filling the world with HOPE!  God is here with us!
A LIGHT that will never be extinguished...
Just back from the craziness of 5 little ones opening presents and two boys with remote control tractor and car zooming around the house after sharing mass together!  The underlying theme for today is HOPE!  ... thanks to His LOVE and Mercy - we have "become heirs in hope of eternal LIFE."  Titus 3 from the second reading in mass today!  It seems that our lives are filled with ups and the downs of sin, but we have been given the gift of Jesus in the face of our weakness - He showed us how to embrace our weakness as that of a tiny helpless child newly born into the world!  Turning to HIM in our weak state - I want to be weak and need Jesus!
Rose pondering the tiny Savior of the world.  What JOY we are given with each new LIFE to watch grow with each new day and teach us how precious is ALL LIFE!
Grandma already has Luke smiling for her in pictures!  I kept saying this is my present form the kids... their dad Paul said that I seemed to get the present that goes on and on endlessly... yes, it is very true!  Little Luke is truly a shining LIGHT as is each little one!
"The people who walked in darkness have seen a great LIGHT."  Isaiah 9:1 from morning prayer this morning!
See the child!
Thank you, Jesus!  We loved to see little ones this day so filled with wonder and JOY and HOPE for all that the year will hold -  we just had the fun of watching the little ones over at Ruth and Paul's opening their gifts with such happiness and enthusiam!  Knowing that Christ has come to embrace us in our weakness - His Mercy is surrounding us as  the shepherds carrying small lambs in their arms fell down in worship and the angels sang "Joyful Joyful we adore thee!"  "Mary, a young woman, who has just experienced for the first time childbirth - knowing that the little boy would be God here on earth - God and man here with us!  May He enter our hearts fully this Christmas and onward.  We are YOURs and we love and praise you and gain HOPE eternal through YOUR birth!  Jesus, we trust in YOU. Amen and Hallelujah
Bless-bless, Barbara Luke

The Lord said to me:  "You are my Son.  It is I who have begotten YOU this day."  Psalm 2:7
The best part of my Christmas present-pictures is sharing them!
