A family dream come true!!!

Such an amazing day it was for me!  For the first time in many years I made my potato bread so that I could teach the kids how to make the special braided bread I used to make.  One of my most cherished pictures is of the 4 girls each touching the bread that they just made. Both Therese and David - my two 5 year old grandkids with their creations!  Therese just loved making them, and after I showed her how to make the first one - she either made all the others or helped cousins make them!
Maria and Therese punching down the dough after it had doubled in size under the wood stove.
Therese starts her criss-cross while brother, cousin and great-grandma watch!
David makes one too!
Patrick loves to watch and eat the apples out of our homemade pie filling - Therese finishes another work of art!
Now big Dave gets a lesson from Therese... the crowd grows larger and larger!
Gus lends a hand with the crossing of the fingers of dough!  You can help out even when you are only 2!
Rosie and mom have joined the crowd watching the making of Christmas Camp breakfast bread - it will need to feed 70+ and we made a total of 8 braids!  We will put candles in one and sing happy Birthday to little Dave - he will be 4 on Saturday!!!
Here it is 26 years ago, and now...
today!!!  Thank you, Lord. I feel that I have been given such a gift!  Jesus, I trust in YOU.  Bless-bless, Barbara Luke
