The Patrick hands...

My husband Patrick Verly -the first thing his mother noticed when he was born was his huge hands and feet.  Well, we were a little distracted when his namesake had a traumatic birth 14 months ago, but when we could notice - it was obvious that he had big mitts just like his grandpa Patrick!  So today I got this special moment after lunch with the two of them displaying their hands together.  Patrick Verly is so proud and happy and very attached to his grandson named after him, and now to discover that they share the large hands and feet is just another great connection.  I have always heard from my husband that he has never met anyone with bigger hands than he has, until he met a dairy farmer, Philip Nelson in Wisconsin, who had hands the same size and work worn as Pat's.  Well, now there is a new Patrick in the world, and time will tell if those big hands rivals grandpa's someday.  For now the two of them are cherishing every moment they have together for this week we have together!
The Texas cousins sure think that little Luks is great!
A little over a year apart, and already friends for life!  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Bless-bless, Barbara Luke
Grandpa said that they both have stripes on so they are in jail - the snow outside keeps us housebound for the day - kind of like jail. Tomorrow we are getting them all out to 8a mass in the morning!  3rd Sunday of Advent - so blessed!
We love you Patrick!
