Augustine is now at home with sister and mom and dad, and we are in the midst of the storm. School was just called off due to horrible cold and wind! Pat was outside for about 6 hours and I watched the barn disappear in the blowing snow. We are now in by the woodstove, and soon to watch the final episode of Alaska the Last Frontier. A new baby will arrive on the show!
Pat coming to get the trailer and fill it up with firewood - we are hunkering down. His words- "this is a true white out!" A steak dinner together and spending time inside as it storms outside!
Barely able to see the barn from the house - Ruth just called to give me the exciting news that she is going to start a farm family blog! They were in Fargo for the weekend for a Farm Bureau meeting and came home fired up! I am very excited to have all 3 of my girls with a blog! Ruth said that the visibility was challenging on the way home late morning today. Thank goodness they are all home snug and now celebrating a snow day off school! I am sure the 3 school age are in jammies and getting into inside projects!
If the kids were coming up the driveway this afternoon - they would be looking for the Christmas lights! They are still there - with the storms I just feel like they belong there although the tree and other signs of Christmas are long gone. Maybe if someone needs a warm place to stay and get out of the storm tonight - they will follow the Christmas lights in our bushes to a warm place in the storm!
Thank you, Lord for all our families warm together and safe in this storm. May all those in danger - may they find warmth and safety! Jesus, we trust in YOU. Bless-bless, Barbara Luke
