Taking these pictures out by the grain bins a couple days ago... I had to gather Rose's hair into a rubber band to keep it from blowing across her face in the wind. After 36 years in the prairie I have learned to live with the wind. I remember when first coming down here I was literally blown away by the unhindered winds that hit me and pushed me and made it hard to walk, see, or open doors or close doors. Now it is just a part of LIFE, and a most cherished LIFE at that! I know that my car will be grabbed with a giant hand trying to push me with the wind after I pass each building site that is temporarily holding it back. Grab the wheel tight and fight for your place on the road!
Before the hair was captured!
Jesus thank you for this 29th Sunday of ordinary windy on the prairie time... I want to give you all of my and to totally yours, O Lord. I want none of "Caesar" to own me! "For our Gospel did not come to you in word alone, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with much conviction." I Thes 1
May I give without counting the cost and feel the power of the wind reminding me of how You have been at work in my life so powerfully. Jesus, I trust in YOU. Bless-bless, Barbara Luke
