Luke is 1, Amy comes to the farm, the shop floor heating is going in, All Saints day...a usual mixture of Faith/Farm/Family/Crazy

I shyly asked for permission to take pictures of John's girlfriend, Amy, this morning before they headed out to take in the farm... and I got an enthusiastic - "Yes! I love pictures!"  John was a bit put off to have to pose nicely for his pesky mom, but I think he will approve of the results out in the bright morning sun.  It looks to be a typically busy day and yet a special day knowing that it is All Saints Day and Luke's first birthday.  John and Amy just headed over to meet Ruth and kids...
They had to quickly meet Paul as he headed across the yard to start working on the floor heating and the plumbing for the bathroom in the new shop.  They have plans to go and dig this afternoon, and make the rounds to see the "fields, pastures, cows, tractors, barns, sheds..."  Yes, there really is a lot to see on the farm!
1 year old Luke with the heart rock that David found...  Ruth had to go in and do wound care a few days ago and Luke woke up early from his nap so we headed out for some birthday pics...  As grandpa said today - "He is such a happy little guy!"  Yes, so sweet, giggly and filled with loving hugs for all of us.  We love you baby Luke, and wish you a wonderful happy birthday and new year ahead!
 Walking is close.
Wheel barrow/pumpkin picture is always a good one.

Today for All Saints Day the Gospel is the Beatitudes..."Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God."  This really seems to fit with the Joy we see in Luke - he at his young age has as close to a pure heart as we could hope for... he sees God in his loving family sharing their faith/family/farm with great JOY!
On the tire swing under their tree house mom is building for them.
By the chickens that gives them eggs every day now.
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God."  So great to ponder these powerful words of Christ to us!
 The silo/bare foot picture...
So sweet in the sun with their picturesque red barn in the background.   There are kittens playing with his toes that you can't see...

Jesus, we thank you for this new day and all that it brings to fill it to the brim with Faith/Family/Farm and yes - that small bit of craziness too!  Sometimes that shot of do this and do that makes you want to knee jerk and say "But wait!"  May we give without counting the cost.  May we be meek  and poor in spirit and know that this is how we find your Kingdom here on earth.  Jesus, bless our little Luke this day and hold him close to your heart burning with LOVE for him.  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Amen and Hallelujah
Getting so big and loving each new thing he is able to do!
Bless-bless, Barbara Luke

Luke 1:26 In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. 28 And he came to her and said,
"Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you!"
I love St Luke - that is why he is my patron Saint!  So great to have a grandson named after him.
One more of John and Amy this morning...
