Dominic's half birthday just happens to be a Feast!!!!

 Dominic gets a special birthday song at breakfast to celebrate his 6 month birthday today!  We are so blessed to have his smiling sweetness to share our time with, and today is such a special feastday - Our Lady of Guadalupe!  These amazing words were spoken to Juan Diego:
“Know my son, my much beloved, that I am the ever Virgin Mary, mother of the true God who is the author of life, the Creator of all things, the Lord of heaven and earth, present everywhere. ...

And it is my wish that here, there be raised to me a temple in which, as a loving mother to you and those like you,
I shall show my tender clemency and the compassion I feel for the natives and for those who love and seek me, for all who implore my protection, who call on me in their labors and afflictions: and in which I shall hear their weeping and their supplications that I may give them consolation and relief."

 Berna got dressed up for the big celebration day today!

 Dominic seems to realize that these are good and someday soon he can have some, but not til her has teeth in a few months! 

Happy Birthday from mom and sister and grandma!

Roses in winter and her imprint on his tilma which exists miraculously to this day and has been responsible for converting all of Mexico and much of central and South America to a devotion of Our Lady - the black tie indicates that she is pregnant with Jesus in her womb!  If you love Our Lady there is no place to be but in The Catholic Church! 

 There were two options for the Gospel today - The Annunciation and the Visitation.  Pat chose the Visitation... and the words of Elizabeth that have now become The Hail Mary..."Most Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb." 

 Jesus, with Your Mother at your side, we fall down in worship this day and ask you to protect all LIFE!  All around us is the special times of the little ones growing ever larger and more alert to all that is around them!  We see with eyes of Faith the Truth that LIFE is to be cherished and protected no matter the cost.  Yet, there is so much darkness hiding the lies of Satan in placing animals above humans.  How often do we hear about protecting this animal or that, yet the tiny helpless humans are murdered in the womb?  Lady of Guadalupe intercede and protect all LIFE in the womb!  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Amen and Hallelujah

So sweet at 6 wonderful months and so much ahead of you to become a LIGHT of Christ and chase away the darkness of sin and death from the world.

MEMORARE TO OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary of Guadalupe, that in thy celestial apparitions on the mount of Tepeyac, thou didst promise to show thy compassion and pity towards all who, loving and trusting thee, seek thy help and call upon thee in their necessities and afflictions.
Thou didst promise to hearken to our supplications, to dry our tears and to give us consolation and relief. Never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, either for the common welfare, or in personal anxieties, was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence, we fly unto thee, O Mary, ever Virgin Mother of the True God! Though grieving under the weight of our sins, we come to prostrate ourselves in thy august presence, certain that thou wilt deign to fulfill thy merciful promises. We are full of hope that, standing beneath thy shadow and protection, nothing will trouble or afflict us, nor need we fear illness, or misfortune, or any other sorrow.
Thou hast decided to remain with us through thy admirable image, thou who art our Mother, our health and our life. Placing ourselves beneath thy maternal gaze and having recourse to thee in all our necessities we need do nothing more. O Holy Mother of God, despise not our petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer us.

Berna and family just left for home, as daddy flies in tonight.  Bernadette got a lot more used to the kittens and treated them well and gentle.

John and Josephat snuggling on the stairs before he went out to help Pat this morning.  "He follows me all over the place." said John with a smile and a pat.
