A sleeping girl gives grandma 2 hours with Jesus - ultimate peaceful prayer with the "Lord of the Sabbath"

Grandma had her hair done and face washed just minutes after she came with grandpa from getting a spear... while they were waiting a nice lady had given her some candies and so she was sticky...
Before grandma got ahold of my little 2 1'2 year old companion.  Her family is having their vacation day at Valley Fair today and I am having a wonderful day with my little girlie!

Ruth called on their way reminiscing about our family trip to Valley Fair when she was in her early teens like Simon.  "Do you remember, mom, how the mother cat died right in front of us and we brought the 4 new kittens along and picked up cat milk replacer from the vet on the way out of town.  I went out and fed the kittens every couple hours and we named them after the rides!  Remember Excaliber and how he got to be a big full grown cat, who would suck on the side of my hand?"  Yes,Ruth!
Eating a good breakfast for grandma!  She is a delight to share my day with!

Joy with her beloved grandpa farmer Pat!  She started saying "Pappa" today for her grandpa!

 kiss for her grandpa

Playing in grandma's tub with bubbles, water guns, and pigtails!
My Friday hour of prayer for 7 Sisters … Joy came along to visit Jesus!
Aglow with smiles and sweetness one minute, and...
She laid down and closed her eyes and was asleep in an instant.

What is a grandma to do with a quiet content 2 year old girl deciding to take her map in the warm quiet church?  Pray for 2 hours.. an hour for Fr Todd and an hour for all the others in my life including my litany of over 200 of our two families... So much JOY with my sleeping JOY and the "Lord of the Sabbath"/my beloved Lamb whose blood freed us from sin and death!

The first reading today is the original Passover from Exodus 11...
The lamb must be a year-old male and without blemish.
You may take it from either the sheep or the goats.
You shall keep it until the fourteenth day of this month, and then,
with the whole assembly of Israel present,
it shall be slaughtered during the evening twilight.
They shall take some of its blood
and apply it to the two doorposts and the lintel
of every house in which they partake of the lamb...
But the blood will mark the houses where you are.
Seeing the blood, I will pass over you;
thus, when I strike the land of Egypt,
no destructive blow will come upon you."
Thanks Joy for filling my day with so much amazing time with the Lamb with no blemish, who died for me!

"Lord of the Sabbath" who desires mercy and not sacrifice as He was the ultimate Sacrifice of for you and I!!  Yes, we are too called to take up our cross and follow Him... dying to self so that His Mercy may flow through us to all those around us!
Jude showing us how he can grab his rattle and get it to his mouth!

It has been super exciting to hang out with almost 4 month old Jude... he is changing by the day he now rolls both ways, and grabs his toys better and better, and he rolled over to get his toy when it was out of his reach.  He then gets it to his mouth to chew along with getting to be quite a proficient thumb sucker!  The first thumb sucker in the grandkids and as he is #18 that is something to say.  Especially when all 4 of my girls were thumb suckers!
Joy was just very excited to show me a picture of Josephine with giggles and smiles!  How they got to know each other a few weeks back when all the grandkids and kids were together only missing Hallel, who is now in France for a couple months with her Community of the Lamb!
Grandma had so much fun dressing my 2 and 3 year old girls the same.  After 4 girls and having great fun dressing them alike... there is not much more happiness to be found especially when I can do their hair, too!  One of the delights I have with my 7 granddaughters!

Ruth's beautiful playhouse with the 3 sweethearts!
The climbing tree still standing now with Ruth's family... they just had to take out a couple trees for the addition they are putting on their house, but the climbing tree is safe for longer and more grandma pictures!
Able to pray long and deep thanks to this sweet girl taking her peaceful nap on the pew.  She was wearing her grandma shirt from the photo shoot with her two little girl cousins!
Grandma got a bit sleepy too, but most of the time was spent gazing on the glowing tabernacle and placing all family there with Him from both of our families - over 200 including babies in the womb... adding a new one today filled with great JOY!

I loved reading this from the office of readings today from St Ambrose;
It is wonderful that God rained manna on our fathers and they were fed with daily food from heaven.  And so it is written: Man ate the bread of angels.  Yet those who ate the bread all died in the desert.  But the food that you receive , the living bread which came down from heaven, supplies the very substance of eternal life, and whoever eats it will never die, for it is the Body of Christ.

Yes!  The perfect Lamb of God not only died for us to find unconditional LOVE and forgiveness, but He gives us His Body and Blood to give us LIFE eternal!
 LIGHT in the darkness...
Aglow in the tabernacle and each one of our families placed with HIM!
Given the gift of 2 peaceful hours by a sleeping girl, who slept until she woke up rested and happy!

Thanks JOY!  ST Patrick above and always special to you since you love your grandpa Patrick so much!

We than got lunch to share with grandpa in the shop where he is working on equipment in 93 degree humid heat... "at least there is a breeze coming in to not make it that uncomfortable.    We grabbed her blanket and she has been quietly watching public TV.
Lots of fun with bubbles and water guns... we hope your family is finding the cool water rides to keep cool!

Jesus, life is a gift and sharing time with Joy is great today.  How we loved sharing our time with you in our beautiful peaceful church.  Joy taking a wonderful restful peaceful nap and grandma praying while she rested in your loving and forgiving arms with your Mother, Mary the Mother of heaven and earth as I prayed through her using the beads and prayers of my rosary... all 15 decades!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb and Joy
Joy and her grandpa... a special love for sure!
"She gives such good hugs!  When I go over there each morning... the first thing I do is find my Joy and get one of her great hugs! I am not very productive for the first half hour of my day, but how I love my little girlie!"  Grandpa Patrick the Farmer, who loves LIFE!
