Praying on the road/praying in front of the tabernacle/The Spirit of Truth speaks to our hearts

George will be 5 months old tomorrow, and Hector was 4 months old on the 8th... so just about a month apart are these two beautiful healthy happy grandsons!  So wonderful to get them together a couple weeks ago, and they are shining lights for me as I just prayed for them in front of the tabernacle in church.
George and Hector sharing a bath while both Nancy with her 5 and Maria with her 6 stayed in our big house for the week we were together.  We are all comfortable and can find beds or couches to sleep on... yes, it is that big!

How I love to have my big home fill up with family and now this last week two young men, who have put on Totus Tuus/Totally yours here in our parish.  They are not around much, but they see us in the morning for breakfast and get back about 10p after working with the older kids - Simon and Mary took part.  David and Rose went to the daytime gathering.
Grandpa with his arms full of Hector and George...
Now Hector and Jude.  Between George and Hector there is 4 weeks and between Hector and Jude there is 2 1/2 weeks. So it is easiest to see how wonderful it is to say that we have had 3 grandsons in 6 weeks!  They all look about the same size, so that means that their moms are doing a great job and they are all good eaters and healthy as can be!
Grandpa joined the boys in the shade on a blanket... getting them all in his big arms would have been a challenge!  Josephine is now a big sister to her baby brother, George, and a great big sister she is indeed!

Today has been one of uncertainty as we started out to get a part in Iowa, and turned around when we saw all the hay down and realized that they were backing off a bit on the rain tonight.  We got half an hour down the road and turned back... giving us a nice window to pray together morning prayer and our petitions could be more relaxed and comprehensive as we drove down the road with home in our sights.
The boys are a magnet and a delight to see together at last!  Already prayers for us to gather again maybe at Christmas time!
A sight to behold and really stresses just how wonderful healthy and happy are the three boys doing!  Evie touching Hector's feet and Josephine holding baby George's hand... It also looks like Hector is fingering Jude's ear.  LOVE!
The 3 together!!!  How we are celebrating new life and how our LOVE grows bigger and not stretched more thin!

I am sitting here listening to thunder!  Lord, please keep the rain away as Pat is cutting hay now.  Mother Nature is certainly hard to deal with this summer and spring before that and winter before that... tough and brings us to our knees!
Happy times with family!  My house is almost empty with just our two young men til tomorrow.  I do love the peace and quiet, but I also so appreciate when we gather together.
A certain little red head is very close to her grandpa Pat!  We do have a big wonderful farm family in our day to day lives!  We are so grateful for their love of the farm and hard work helping Pat pass on the farm.  Our hopes and dreams can flourish through them and with them.
Hugs and kisses for her grandpa!
We also have John, Bobbi and Jude close by and grandma got some great time there this week as we are working hard at getting John through a tough Anatomy course towards his Radiology Tec course!  Lord, hear our prayer for John's future!
Since our morning prayer happened on the road early, and I was home in plenty of time to pray for an hour in front of the tabernacle before a funeral... it was a powerful deep time of prayer with Jesus!  I am now praying for Fr Todd, who is a TEC friend also and he and Fr Denny switched parishes.

Praying the sorrowful mysteries for him, while aware of all the preparation people do that serve for music and funeral home people in preparation... It struck me that the 3rd sorrowful, the Crown of Thorns which represents the mental and emotional pain and wounds we endure and how those have become so huge in this day and age!  The depression and anxiety that floods people and drowns them in themselves and they can't seem to crawl out of the hole or the darkness.  Yes, suffering physical ailments still happens and is hard, but this mental/emotional stuff is so pervasive and HUGE!!!
Jesus on the Cross in the universe has taken all that for us!  We need to die to our self and give it all to HIM!  My hands were raised up to Him in supplication for all those that bear the Cross of anxiety and depression.  I pray for these on Nancy's decade of the rosary - #2 mystery each day, as since she had Gus and was so anxious and miserable after his birth.. she has taken anxiety/depression meds.
The tabernacle aglow as I prayed the office on my phone and then the rosary for Fr Todd.

Jesus reminds us today in the Gospel that The Holy Spirit will speak through us and give us the Truth to share with all those in our lives... most especially with those the closest to us that we love the most yet treat the worst.
"...do not worry about how you are to speak
or what you are to say.
You will be given at that moment what you are to say.
For it will not be you who speak
but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you."
Matthew 10

Lord, may your words and thoughts be our words and thoughts... dying to self and giving without counting the cost!   Lord, may we return the unconditional LOVE and forgiveness we have been given by you to those around us... most especially those in our domestic Church/family.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
Evangeline with Tyler the kitten.  I think he has breathed a sigh of relief that she is now back in Washington.  He is very tame, so she took advantage of it and held him firm and close to her heart!  He took it and survived the LOVE of a 2 1/2 year old girl.  Talk about mental anguish right Tyler?  Bless-bless, Barb

Love!  On Fridays I pray 2 - one for Fr Todd, and one for my family and other intentions!  This is so wonderful to think about!
