The Body and Blood of Jesus there for us on the altar on this beautiful sunny early spring morning. I just knew that dad was there with us as he joined with the Communion of Saints and Angels that come and join us at each mass where Jesus comes to us!
I recall my father shedding tears when he discovered that a mass was to be said for my mother in Michigan at the church where he was deacon for 12 years! My brother, Dan, who shares a birthday with my dad also reminded us 10 kids to have masses said for mom and dad - "that is what they would wish for us to do for them."

Birdie sat on her grandpa's lap and loved her butter braid!
Hubby and I are soon to get on the road to meet up with my birthday brother, Dan and his wife - visit dad at the Cemetery and then share a meal and laughs and sharing from the heart! My brother and I just as with my parents we see eye to eye and LOVE our Church without reservations!
Mary has another bottle goat that came in to add to the fun!
Joy and Jude with the new baby goat. Calving is soon to begin, but today Pat is still fairly free to get away for the day and together we can celebrate my wonderful father on his birthday! Nothing could be more special and I am so excited for this day to be wonderful in every way! Dad always put Jesus first and so it was the best to start with family gathered at mass!
Jesus, we know that you love us and are the Merciful Lord and Father... how we moaned with joy to have the Prodigal Son - Merciful loving Father for our Gospel today! ‘My son, you are here with me always;
everything I have is yours.But now we must celebrate and rejoice,
because your brother was dead and has come to life again;
he was lost and has been found.’” How my father prayed for this to happen for many of his beloved children and so he now continues to pray for us more perfectly from heaven! Jesus, we trust in you. Amen
Singing a happy birthday to dad!
Birdie and great-grandpa - dad loved to watch her grow - he came in April 16th and she was born on May 9th shortly after he came to live till October 23rd when he peacefully passed away here in my home. He modeled a "natural death" for all to see - he joined mom only 7 months after she passed away in a day.
My namesake with her great-grandpa - she was his 58th great-grandchild and one that he saw the most along with the other 18 of our grandhchildren - dad knew that our 20th was in the womb before he died and is now praying for her from heaven. So many blessings and so much happiness and JOY! Bless-bless, Barbara
