Dad brought along this special memory picture of my dad 16 years ago in our beloved Michigan cabin in Thanksgiving. That beaming smile of contentment is what I picture my father having now as he has found eternal peace.
Three of the 10 spending some time on a beautiful day with dad and mom.
One other brother, Jim, made up our tag team of caring for my parents 24/7 from August to October in 2019. They then moved into an assisted living in New Hope for 5 months until mom died in a day after a fall, and a month later dad came to live with me for 6 months until he died a natural death on hospice... only apart for 7 months!
Thanksgiving memories from 2003. I remember mom telling me about this wonderful beautiful meal that Dan's wife, Angela, had prepared for them. No wonder my dad had such a peaceful satisfied look on his face.
Angela knows how to make the atmosphere so warm and wonderful! It is her gift to all that she entertains!
Dad brought us together and it was wonderful in every way sharing our love of family and our father, who gave Dan, Paula and I life, and then brought us into The Church and gave me the LIFE that never ends with Jesus and His Bride, The Church!
We formed a circle holding hands and said an Our Father for dad and mom after sharing our love and gratitude for all we are given from life to a faithfilled spouse, to coming into The Church 50 years ago and then modeling how to live a life of prayer and worship and service!
Mom designed their headstone - the shape of a Bible ... JJM on the cross - Jesus, Mary and Joseph!Mom evangelizing by her designed headstone. I am in the process of thinking about our headstone, so this will give me something to ponder.
Down the hill to Taylors with the river valley on our right- a familiar journey after mom and dad lived in this area 2 different time for over 20 years!
On the left the wall of rock... A trip down memory lane on this special day of family gathering around dad on his first birthday not with us here on earth!
Mexican food in Wisconsin for Dan's birthday and Dad's memory - lots of great sharing and happiness to share.
Dad and mom's Our Lady of Guadalupe is now with my sister, Marty! I know that mom and dad are happy to have her there. Fun to share the special things of Faith that my parents had in their home, and now are being shared around the family.
Love this peaceful picture of dad in Michigan in Thanksgiving 2003! There was a lot of snow already and I would say that he just finished his meal and is quite content... love you, dad, and wishing you a wonderful heavenly birthday. I know that you were happy to see your family celebrate you and Dan!
Dropped in at Dan and Angela's home and once again Angela is preparing a wonderful meal for her twin sons coming with their fiance'/girlfriends for a wonderful meal in their new room!
Their peaceful lovely home in SCFPat brought this to show Mary - a baby girl 15 years ago, who loved her mother so much that she is eating her chin - Baby Jesus doing the Same to Mother Mary! Ruth's explanation..."She wanted to nurse."I think that it is precious that baby Jesus wanted to nurse on his Mother of heaven and earth! There is nothing more wonderful than that special bond of mother and child! And we all know that Mary was a nursing mother of her Son of God, and that he was healthy and grew up aided by her milk for him. LOVE that icons of Jesus eating the chin of Mary!
Joy enjoyed her breakfast after mass... we all do!
Mary and her beautiful plate and fruit parfait, which has been added to our menu for more healthy food. Well, the whipped cream has become a regular...
"She just wants to nurse." Yes! But she also loves her mommy so much that she is nuzzling/eating her chin! Such a beautiful bond is there between mother and child!

While we were away for our 12 hours - Ruth and family built a chicken shed only needing windows and siding now.Dave will enter his work as a 4 H project.
Baby Goat interested.
This is powerful!!! Jesus giving us His Mother from the Cross just before he cries out "I Thirst!" Read that last paragraph and be amazed even with my finger over the last words!
The rest... "Brought to encounter and experience the thirst of Jesus through the presence and care of Our Lady. It is a service that she willingly performs for every disciple."
Mom and dad on their 70th Anniversary - August 30, 2019
The first time I visited them shortly after they moved into their Assisted Living in October of 2019... a year later dad died here in my home peacefully and joined mom after only being apart for 7 months after 70 1/2 years of marriage here on earth! Bless-bless, Barbara
Our Lady in their Assisted living in New Hope. She is now in Marty's home and "she is where she belongs." As Marty told me on my birthday a year ago when she gifted an amazing St Therese to me. Mom and dad are smiling!
