After a wonderful mass in the beautiful school chapel... Bill got to see where Nancy and John and Ruth went to school for 9 years each... now Simon showed us his kindergarten room and Mary proudly showed us her preschool room! We are back with kids at the Catholic School and it is so wonderful to have that here and available for the kids! It was fun to see 6'4" John enjoying listening to Simon share about his love of school! John was his size when he started here over 16 years ago! How can that be?John ran for the first time since his surgery! Not really but he usually runs in the pool due to his unsteadiness, but he was looking pretty good high tailing it... The day was beautiful and the family shared activity was calm and pleasant on a Sunday afternoon! Bill... Nancy's new husband is a city boy, and the guys all complimented him on how well he did for a new guy!

Well, the day, my family, a wonderful joyful Sunday dinner after the family job was done with kids, kids in law, grandkids, future grandkids.. Nancy goes to hear the heartbeat for the first time tomorrow morning... Lord hear our prayer for safety and only good results! Pat was in... the Vikings were on the TV, and Bill said with some emotion that this reminded him of Sunday dinners at his grandma's house in Pennsylvania... they always had the Steelers on the TV in the background! Glad to keep the tradition going Bill, and they won too in overtime! I looked around the table at Sunday dinner and couldn't hold back my joy! I spoke to the family that these are the times that give me the most joy! Thank you Lord! WE did do a job that needed many hands on Sunday, but it was a good supportive and sharing time for us to really be FAMILY in the true sense on the farm! We had worshiped well together before, and the singing of "Bless the Lord, O my Soul"... that the Little Sisters sing before meals... made us all smile as we have all been there to share with them before Susan/Hallel left for France! It makes us all feel a bit closer to her and her wonderful community!
Pat wowed everyone with the muscle it took to dehorn this steer... especially Bill, who everything is so new! He certainly married a farmer's daughter! I think that he likes it just fine too!
Here is the motley crew... ready to come in for a good Sunday dinner after an afternoon in the beautiful weather getting a job done that goes so much better with many hands! Pat was sure grateful and in his glory to have so much help - He loves his life, and loves when he can share it with interested and willing helpers!
"Today I got up early and went to the grotto. It was one of the only people there and it was really nice. I got to go to kneel in front of Our Lady and pray as the sun came up. After mass I went to the baths . Lourdes is a place for healing for body and soul. Inside the bath house they said before to ask Our Lady something in your heart. I asked Our Lady to help me give myself completely over to her and to not have any fear." From Susan's spiritual journal Feb 16,2006 on retreat in Lourdes
