What fun! Daughter, Ruth, and her two youngest... Mary (4) and David (2) decided that it was a great day to go to the State Park... the same place where Pat and I noticed each other 33 years ago... I came down to his sister's wedding and she had her wedding dinner at Camden on a very hot June 10, 1977. Since our courtship involving hot dogs over the fire at Camden, and long talks... Our family with swimming in the pond a lot of days while the kids practiced what they had learned in swimming lessons...Pat was determined that unlike him all the kids would not only swim but go all the way to lifeguard with years on the swim team in there too! Yes, they were fish, and the cold water never bothered them! Today the grandkids were in the water splashing and throwing in rocks... They acted like it was just a "little bit cold." Between the water, the slides and the leaves and a wonderful picnic with all the food groups represented... It was a wonderful warm and fun 3 hours in the middle of a glorious day! We were tired and happy after our time in the sun and all the rest.... Now my grandkids will beg to go to Camden too!

We would go to the park usually closer to my birthday, which was a month ago now.. the leaves are usually at their peak then... and they are all on the ground now...but that made for easy and fun raking up big leaf piles for the kids! They had great fun and grandma loved trying to catch the fun of the action!
Ruth would rake it up and soon the kids would sit in the center and she would bury them and then like jumping out of a big birthday cake... they would spring up and scream with delight! Pure fun!

Soon the leaf pile came walking with little legs in grandma's direction... a few down the shirt...itchy and scratchy, but really worth it to see the look of delight in their sweet faces! Life is a gift!

No, this isn't spring time..it was taken today - November 9th!

Thank you for your love that covers us with wonder generation after generation! We are so grateful for all that we are blessed with in your beautiful world around us and within us in that quiet beautiful place of prayer! Bless-bless, Barb and Mary

In our homes.
When does it begin?
When we pray together.
The family that prays together stays together."
