"Branches that are bare shall blossom..."

With all 5 of my kids doing percussion... this is fun to see little Gus learning at such a young age the physicality of music...hitting with sticks that make music with a beat.  This morning Nancy had a chance to share the Gospel at breakfast, and then the first reading from I John.  Nancy said that it reminded her of Mere Christianity by C S Lewis...  Then I was able to share with her the book I am so enjoying reading by Fr Martin about My Life with the Saints .
I John 5:5-13 is the first reading today...  "The Spirit is the one who testifies, and the Spirit is truth...  Now the testimony of God is this, that he has testified on behalf of his Son.  And this is the testimony:  God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  Whoever possesses the Son has life!"

Lord Jesus, we love you and accept your Truth which is lifegiving!  WE long for a little slice of heaven here on earth with your Way, your Truth, and your LIFE!  Trying to find our way alone is like a blind man, and we find only lies and deceit.   Thank you for all the miracles that show us your kingdom here on earth - the new little ones, the many that love and serve you and share the LIGHT and the TRUTH to all those around them.  Thank you for your True Church, and the domestic Church we have within our own homes and with our families.  May we see those bare branches come forth into beautiful blossom as we serve those in our faith formation class, TEC retreats, our grandchildren that look to you in innocence and trust.   Use us to show the way to Jesus.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Halleluia

Bless-bless, Barb
