Yes, that is sugar sand beach! Unfortunately it is not in front of our cabin, but a public beach about 6 miles down from us. Lots of times after supper we pack up the car and drive down there to walk on the beach at sunset! It doesn't get any more beautiful and we have many pictures to prove the fact. This photo is one of the more unique ones! I am getting ready for our summer vacation to Michigan, and it gives me so much joy that my grandkids are falling in love with Michigan too! I grew up going there in the summers with my mother - to get us kids out of the inner city Flint, Michigan for the summer. Yes, we were spoiled! Now we get a two week block and that still seems mighty wonderful! Bless-bless
The Pat and Barb Verly family and their 5 children, in laws and grandkids along with many prayer warriors have been drawn together by John's cancer... sharing daily for 8 months started this blog- Family Soul Story - Our faith, family, farm and now our cancer journey called HEALING have colored and deepened our world. WE continue to share and depend on the support of our prayer warrior community, that has lowered us into the Lord's presence for His healing!

Summer thoughts in January?
This picture was taken a bit down the beach from our cabin in Michigan when John was about 10 years younger. He is with my parents' long dead dog, Cody, and a cousin. Every now and then I realize that I am a part-owner with some of my siblings of a piece of real estate on Lake Michigan! It just kind of happened with my parents moving to Wisconsin, and some of us kids taking buying it from them. It is really the only way that we can manage to take a vacation with Pat... get him so far away that he has to stay a while... although he did go one day and turn around a go home with my sister and her husband the next due to a drought one year, and the night he got home it rained 2 inches! Maybe he will be more trusting of the good Lord hearing his prayers the next time...
