Brought together by art time...

Some of my kids tell me that they loved our art time on Saturday, and here we gathered at the table with watercolors once again.  Mary even passed up going to a cattle sale with grandpa and the boys to come and share some artwork with this grandma.   I think that it is safe to say that Mary has gotten bitten by the art bug, and it is a delight to share this with her.  Today she remembered that last winter we had made placemats for a tea party with Therese, so while I made lunch she made some super special placemats for her mother, Mary and I... they had different versions of crosses and hearts.  Mine had a large cross colored pink with a golden cross inside of it.  Later she added a cross with blood on it, and so we had a discussion of how we have all been washed clean by the blood of the Cross... or the Lamb sacrificed to save us - the Blood of the Lamb!  It is fun to have art lead into a theological or faith-filled conversation!  Thank you, Jesus, and we trust in you!  Bless-bless, Barb

Sketching Lilly the dog and the statue of Mary on a beautiful day in January... life doesn't get any better!
