A family united - Blessed Virgin Mary

I was gifted with this overnight on FB from my niece, Bridget!  Thank you for this pictoral reminder of the gift I have been given with my birth, as the eldest, into this wonderful family!  Our CCC this year was such an amazing gift with the celebration of our 40 year anniversary of becoming Catholic, and every day since has been a one foot in front of the other walk with HIM and his Bride, the Church!  Since starting to do the morning and evening prayers from the Magnificat over these last 3 or more years... I have learned that Saturday is devoted to Our Mother Mary Most Holy... the Blessed Virgin Mary!  Such a gift to me,as she is woven through every day by my praying fervently the rosary for much of each day... I am up to 10 decades now , and know that whenever I need to focus on HIM in prayer for needs or concerns, the Hail Mary helps me to focus.  The year with John's brain cancer there was always a rosary in my hand and the constant beseeching God through prayer was what kept the ocean around me from storming and tossing me overboard!  I had to look up to the head of the boat and see Jesus there telling the storm to "Be calm!"  He was in control and to see his fingerprint on my family after a lifetime of following him... I am filled with awe!
My father has listened and answered each time with a resounding "Yes!"  Just as Our Lady did and look at the events that changed the world as a result of her humility and obedience!  Not only changed the world but brought LIFE and LOVE into the world and saved us - giving us Eternal LIFE!!!  Thank you Jesus, for the gift we are given, if we only listen to your call to us, and set ourselves aside and answer "yes!"  "Speak, Lord, your servant is listening."  So often I look at my family and see that my dad was always listening to you through the Word and the Holy Spirit.  I pray that I too am always listening through my husband's wisdom, who is my head, and through the prayertime that I am gifted with throughout each day.   For the prayer that is constantly within me..."Hail Mary..."  May my day today be a work/prayer that is a fragrant incense to YOU!  Be with all those at the TEC retreat this weekend, may they all be touched by your presence.  Holy Mary Mother of God bring them ever closer to your Son, our LIFE and our LOVE!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Halleluia

Bless-bless, Barb
"Christ is the Head and the whole Body; may we not say that Mary is the Heart and in some way the whole Body also? She is the gate to Heaven, by whom we enter into Christ.  She is the Mother of the whole Christ."
