Ascension Thurday on the farm

Gus was super excited to get out and walk around in his newly discovered rubber boots, but an unexpected bump in the yard sent him into the mud and unable to get up on his own... grandma had to grab camera and rubber boots to save him.  Just in time to come into the house to get cleaned up and dried up and sit on mommy's lap while her parents laid hands on her and prayed for her to enjoy time in Europe with her husband!
A work of art - a masterpiece - family LOVE united in prayer and trust the the Lord will bless Nancy and Bill with growing closeness as they attend a wedding in Scotland and travel through Europe.  They will even visit the little monastery in Austria on their travels!  A prayer also for the two little ones, who will have time with grandparents and aunt, uncle, cousins, tractors, cows,calves, time out with garden planting and all that has to happen in the spring when the ground dries up - most importantly planting the crop! It is a gift to have this special close time with them - getting to know each other in the day to day caring for and protecting that comes with two little ones.  Pat and I awoke to morning prayer and a reminder that this is Ascension Thursday.
"God is King of all the earth.
Sing praise with all your skill.
God is king over the nations;
God reigns on his holy Throne."
Psalm 47

Our Lady and St Francis watch over our laying on of hands on Nancy before she heads off on her huge adventure!
"When Christ came as high priest of the good things that have come to be, passing through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made of hands, that is,not belonging to this creation, he entered once for all into the sanctuary,...with his own blood, obtaining eternal redemption."  Hebrews 9:11-12
Yes, Lord, we come to YOU this day as we embark on a big adventure that we call LIFE led by Faith and Trust.  We will take each day as it comes to us, and try to make each part of it devoted to YOU.  May we see YOU and share YOU in all that we say and do each day we are given as Gift!  We have the confidence that you are in Heaven and have sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in our tabernacle within.  From there we are filled with the Fire of the Truth about LOVE/LIFE/LIGHT!  May we share that without counting the cost most especially in our domestic Church/family.  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Amen and Halelluia

Bless-bless, Barb
"The meaning of Christ's Ascension expresses our belief that in Christ the humanity that we all share has entered into the inner of God in a new and hitherto unheard of way.  It means that man has found an everlasting place in God.  It would be a mistake to interpret the Ascension as the temporary absence of Christ from the world.  Rather, we go to Heaven to the extent that we go to Jesus Christ and enter into HIM.  Heaven is a person:  Jesus himself is what we call 'Heaven.' "
Pope Benedict XVI

Mary how many years has grandma taken of you in mud puddles - how about 7!!!
One year old playing in the water barrel - love the curly hair!

Now that's a big puddle -the creek in the pasture while we help grandpa fix fence in April 2007!  Enough of this - grandma needs to get busy with these babies!
