Grandpa loves little ones - as a matter of fact he loves all children even when they are in their 30's! He is a very hands on and interested dad and grandad! He is my champion for LIFE and has supported our having every child we were meant to have - 5 with us and 6-7 in Heaven! He has always been the dad that it holding the babies in Church - not to say that if they needed to be fed that I would be the one to take them to the back, but he would hold them in his huge strong arms and hands and it just made me glow with love at the sight of him! Today with the two boys in his lap - I know that this is about as happy as Pat can be to have his arms full of LIFE! Today is Pentecost Sunday - the beginning of the Church as Father said to us... the same Spirit dwells in each of us making us a united Body of Christ - His Church! It amazes me when you share the Truth allows us to be ONE and to speak the same language of LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT.
Now Pat has his arms full of girls!!! There is nothing in this wide world that makes Pat happier than little ones, and when they reach for him and want to be in his arms he swells with a glow and LOVE fills his heart and soul! It has always attracted me to him so much, and I know that he has been the Holy Spirit in our marriage - guiding us the the ways of the Truth of LIFE! There are many that are misled by the lies of Satan telling the world that we should only have two children for the perfect family and limit LIFE so that we can have stuff! How can siblings ever be compared to stuff? The Spirit teaches us that the Cross is our tree of LIFE and as we embrace our Most Cherished Cross we find LIFE everlasting and LOVE grows larger with each new LIFE! It has been my experience growing up with my dad and now with my husband that as men of God they are the voice of the Holy Spirit directing my LIFE with Christ! So amazing! If you are interested in what I am speaking about here - you can check out the pages I have written about our family's conversion to the Catholic Church - all 13 of us! Also the page I wrote about my marriage to Patrick Verly - My Most Cherished Cross - in the world needs LIGHTS!
After our 4 girls - they are just so special to have and to hold!
This is such a beautiful description of The Church by St Paul in the second reading today from I Corinthians - "There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone. To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit." I see this at work everytime I work a retreat - Together Encounter Christ- there are many jobs needed from cooking to praying to giving talks, but it all works together to allow all there to come closer to our loving and forgiving Lord, Jesus Christ! If any are interested in attending a weekend - there is one coming up in June 22-24 and Pat and I are directing it as servant leaders! http://riverbendtec.org/index.html Here is the site to sign up! You will never regret taking this time to be with our Lord! I had our 3 oldest girls all make a weekend and each come home and ask me to go... I had to say "Yes" and it has changed my LIFE and prayer has become as each breath that I take and every beat of my heart..."Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!"
Just took Pat to the tractor and the corn is up!!! The warm rains and sun is doing quick work. I also noticed that the apple tree in the pasture is starting to bloom... pictures with little girlie coming... Jesus, how we are filled to overflowing with your Spirit of Truth and LIFE! It just seems to right that Pentecost - the coming of your Spirit happens in the springtime of the year - when we are so blessed with the richness of your earth coming back to life! The farmers planting the crops in the black soil and the life that comes forth to feed the world! May more food reach those that are hungry and without what they need this day, O Lord. We thank and praise you for the bounty we are blessed with - may we give to all those in need without counting the cost. May we love all those in our domestic Church family remembering that "wounded, I will not cease to LOVE!" Come Holy Spirit and fill our hearts, minds and souls with all that brings LIGHT into the darkness. Jesus, we trust in YOU. Amen and Halleluia
Simon had his 4th Communion today - I asked him if he had Jesus in my tummy..."No, I have Jesus in my heart." he said without hesitation! Yes! Simon you are truly a voice of the Holy Spirit in my life, and you speak such eloquent Truths to us! Recently he taught us about poverty - "God is better than money." he said. "And that is why Susie/Hallel is poor." Wow! I was so filled with JOY this day as we sang a loud and beautiful Halleluia at the presentation of the Gospel - it reminded me of Hallel with her hands raised and her face beaming with a huge smile and her eyes glued on the Gospel as it is presented at mass! How she LOVEs her spouse - Christ the Word!!! That is what drew her into the Community as his Bride!
"O most blessed Light divine,
Shine within these hearts of yours,
And our inmost being fill!"
