Drying Prairie Winds warm the land and us

While grandma put clothes on the line in the wind - Gus found plenty to do around the yard...
Grandma always feels like she stepped back in time to have the small jeans hanging next to the big ones on the clothesline.  It just makes me feel like, and remember the wonderful nest years with my little ones.  Putting clothes on the line and off was a part of every nice day in the prairie.  I always had those cloth diapers to hang out in the fresh wind...

Had to move the baby downstairs for her nap as they were shingling the roof and so loud upstairs!  The lighting was so special as she slept like a little angel - she truly is such a wonderful happy baby!

Gus was napping out in the tractor with Paul and David.  There is something about that back and forth and bouncing over the soil that puts those little ones to sleep!
Ruth, Gus, Rose and David came to visit Bernadette in the front room for stories.  Gus always is happy to see his sweet little sister!

Bernadette is taking lessons on farming from grandpa complete with talking on the phone.  She makes a very cute farmer, don't you think?

Adjusting to formula seems to need a few bubble sinks today, but no one is complaining.  Cute alert!
Gus got plenty wet too!

Since we got wet in the sink - we put on jammies early, but still went out for an adventure after supper.  Gus seems to have that stride figured out in those boots as he hunts for grandpa!

Looking for grandpa on the loader...

A lift here with the roofers... brings a smile so that grandma shuts the door.

Bernadette and grandma hang around waiting for Gus to get some time behind the wheel...

Good thing grandma always has two things with her at all times - a rosary and a camera...

It has warmed up a lot today - the warm/hot pairrie winds were blowing on us tonight during our adventure around the farm.  Bernadette got tired and took a cat nap until we came in for stories, and prayers, and singing "Jesus loves me" tonight.  We are all very tired, and ready to turn in.  Jesus, thank you for the warm winds that dried the land so that the farmers can plant the crop.  Keep them all safe, and bless them with a good crop this year.  Be with Nancy and Bill's family as they are apart.  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Bless-bless, grandma Barb

Gus checks out the planter as it plants corn in the field around our farm tonight.  Grandpa says that another day and night they should get all the corn in before the next rain this weekend.  Gus might need those boots for the farm mud puddles again.  We love to get rain in Southwest Minnesota!
