The readings for today are reminding us that we need to stand up for the Truth and know it in our hearts, minds, souls... how do we do this? By holding close the Truth held out to us in The Church! It will help us through the minefield that is all around us, and the persecutions we are called to face with each new day. I love The Church unreservedly and hold all that is upholds without question!

Jesus, another Thanksgiving is here, and I certainly want to focus on this one and all that it will hold for us as we gather as family. This year we will celebrate and hold close to our heart Nancy's new life in her womb, Pat's mother nearing the end of her days here on earth, the fact that Ruth and Paul are transitioning into being on the farm, our large extended families and all that means in our day to day life, but foremost the fact that no matter if Hallel is in Rome and Maria is in NC that we are all united in our shared Faith in you, O Lord, and your Bride, The Church! How that fills me with wonder and Joy and so much Thanksgiving! May we face all that tries to destroy our Faith with courage and trust in you now and forever. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
Hallel and Judith arrived on the NCYC bus to take John for his second week of whole brain radiation and share Thanksgiving with our family in 2009!

She models for us how we are to face our lives - embracing The Cross we find LOVE and this is true LOVE. As Maria places by the crucifixes in our homes and in hers - "This is how one loves." True!
