Today is big on counting the little joys in our lives with the cold hard ugliness of what happened in Paris yesterday. Holding close those things that are filled with good and bring LIGHT into the world. This Saturday morn which is devoted to The Blessed Virgin Mary... she is who we look to in these days as we need a Mother to run to when we are attacked and afraid and hurt. She binds up our wounds, kisses our hurts, and takes our worries to Jesus, who tells us for each day of our lives in His Word - "Be not afraid."
Jesus reminds us in the Gospel today that we are to "pray always without becoming weary." I have a feeling that with this latest attack that many will fall on their knees as it is really all we day to day people can do in the face of so much evil. There is such a big awakening to how important the most powerful woman in the world is - Mary the Mother of God! With the article coming out in Nat Geo calling her the most powerful woman of the world and sharing how she is speaking and interceding throughout the world!
Jesus, we fall on our knees each and every day, but when there is ugliness and disasters in our world we realize how small and weak and sick and dark the world is around us! We cannot love your mother anywhere near as much as you do, yet she is our spiritual mother to come to at times of need. For me that is each day of my life! I thank you for giving us Our Mother of heaven and earth to us so that our unceasing prayers are heard and presented to you, O Lord!
For he remembered his holy word
And he led forth his people with joy;
with shouts of joy, his chosen ones.
Remember the marvels the Lord has done!

Psalm 105 - a grand Hallel Psalm from mass today!
In the first reading today we hear of the JOY those freed from slavery in Egypt after He made the path through the Red Sea - For they ranged like horses, and bounded about like lambs, praising you, O Lord! their deliverer. Wisdom 19 Today it is hard to find that Joy, but we look to the little things to help us find some peace in the midst of this mess of a world. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah

She not only believed , but having recognized God's goodness, hoped for and awaited the time when God in his mercy would have pity on her and on the whole of human race, and would send the Savior who was to accomplish the great work of redemption and salvation.
