I am so ready for the Jubilee year of Mercy in The Church starting on Dec 8th with the opening of the Holy Door at St Peters....The other holy doors of basilicas around the world will then be opened as a sign of God's opening a new pathway to salvation. Wow!
A special love note to mom and dad from Big Dave! All the pencil around the big heart are pencil hearts... a lot of work and expression of all the love a little heart can hold!
It is so true that our showing mercy even in the face of hate and persecution is what we are called to do just as Christ/The Lamb did in the face of being put to death although he was spotless and without sin! We need only look to the Lamb of God to understand the extent of Mercy we are asked to return to others the Mercy we have been shown! The Gospel from Luke 21 today speaks of how we need to be ready for we know not the time we will be called to leave this world. We need to be wary of falsehoods, and how do we do this? We look to The Church and trust in the wisdom of The Church and that it is helping us get to Heaven.
Rose picking the eggs a few days ago...
The kittens joining the chickens makes for unlikely companions... why? Because there is a heat lamp in their pen and they all like that warmth.
Much these days speak so much of Mercy! How the problems and issues would melt away if we could find the ability to show even a little bit of mercy one to the other. This is my prayer and what I am reminding myself this day.
Saturday morning the girls and I did some vet work on the kittens including cleaning their ears.
Jesus, may I begin with myself and show mercy no matter the wrongs, hurts, broken relationships, persecutions, wrongs I face. You ask it of us only after you showed us how we are to do likewise in our life here on earth. You were unlike us in that you were without sin, and we are far from that! Give us the strength to show mercy in the face of hate and anger. The year of Mercy - http://ncronline.org/news/vatican/francis-announces-new-global-jubilee-holy-year-mercy could not come at a more needed or better time for our world and for me personally in my life! A few days away from Advent is filling me with much HOPE for the LIGHT coming into my world and chasing away the darkness of sin and death. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
John and his grandma, Anna, after we shared a wonderful communion service with her on Sunday. Then John went to a neighboring town and shared his story of finding Faith through brain cancer. "The love I felt from all those praying for me was like a perfect blanket all around me. Now I want to share that love in my ministry of prayer." John
Bless-bless, Barbara Luke
Amazing! Grandma Anna's Christmas cactus bursts into bloom and welcomes in Advent this Sunday!
Sunrise this morning welcoming in the dawn/The LIGHT!
Bless the Lord, all you works of the Lord,
praise and exalt him above all forever.
Give glory and eternal praise to him.
Psalm from mass today from Daniel 3

It is merely sharing the Gospel each time we say the "Hail Mary"... check out Luke 1!
How can that be anything but a special grace and blessing for us on this journey as we show Mercy to all?
