Ascension Sunday - 6th Sunday of Easter/Paraclete means comforter as we look to Jesus in heaven - we are headed there to live forever!

Oh my!  These 7 gave me the best gift ever after mass!  All in there Sunday best and just back from having mass together on base here in Fort Lewis.
Grandma had the joy of getting little sweet Magdalene ready for her first mass with her family.  Her 2 year old brother, Hector, assisted grandma in getting her pretty in pink.  She opened her eyes and took note of her brother.
Starting to be a little bit more awake, but she is so excellent as a newborn.  She let us sleep the night through with only one feeding.
Now looking at her big sister.
Escorting Maggie into her first mass on base.  Today is Ascension Sunday on this 6th Sunday of Easter.  Father mentioned that we are celebrating Pentecost in a week - "The Holy Spirit, the Paraclete, means the comforter as we keep our eyes on heaven, where we long to be forever."
Both priests had to stop by and admire this gift from above - new LIFE!
The two babies on the couch...
Sweetness!
My gift is sharing our Faith as a family!  Nothing better in our domestic Church/family!  We now number 31!  We have 12 in heaven keeping our eyes, minds and spirits looking to heaven...

Brothers and sisters:
May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,
give you a Spirit of wisdom and revelation
resulting in knowledge of him.
May the eyes of your hearts be enlightened,
that you may know what is the hope that belongs to his call,
what are the riches of glory
in his inheritance among the holy ones,
and what is the surpassing greatness of his power
for us who believe,  Ephesians 1

The 4 youngest of my military family... I would say that Maggie has made a peaceful transition surrounded by so much love and peace and JOY!
Playing with different colors and lack of on Maria's computer.
Maria and her 7 is a work of art!  Siblings are so much more wonderful than things!  No comparison!
Gospel for today tells us that our goal is to be with Jesus here and forever!  Come Holy Spirit!

So then the Lord Jesus, after he spoke to them,
was taken up into heaven
and took his seat at the right hand of God.
But they went forth and preached everywhere,
while the Lord worked with them
and confirmed the word through accompanying signs.  Mark 16

Breakfast on the farm today after sharing 8a mass in Marshall!
So much joy in being united wherever we are in The Eucharist! Today that would be in France, Fort Lewis, Delano, MN, and Marshall, MN!  All celebrating The Ascension of our Lord together wherever we are.
Grandma is getting so much wonderful peaceful Maggie Rose time... so happy and lucky!  Talking about flying home on Thursday.
The neighborhood candy store...
Maggie going for her first walk with mommy around the neighborhood last evening.
8 years ago - Bernadette on the farm.

Going to mass with Magdalene for the first time.
Sisters at mass

Two grandsons were so reverent altar servers - so special to see them assisting the wonderful priests!
11 year old David and 8 year old Patrick serving side by side and instructed by their dad Captain Joseph, who is now deployed to Afghanistan.
LOVE these!
Like two sweet angels to me.
A keeper with the centerpiece as their peaceful beautiful sister, who is 5 days old today!
Therese changed her into a new pretty sleeper!  How she loves her baby sisters and all their accessories... and making them pretty and her open eyes are taking notice.
First tummy time with eyes wide open!

I am so filled to the brim by this blessed day!  Thank you, Jesus, and we trust in you.  Bless- bless, Barbara
