When I shared with him all the wonderful prayers that have been said for him and the encouraging words knowing that "God has a purpose for John here." Yes! John asked me to thank you for the bottom of his heart. "I was just telling the doctor that prayer has been huge for me and is how I am here today, so thank all those that prayed for me! It means the world to me!"
We were contacted by Rochester just as we were about to do some radical things at the U of M! Jesus had another plan and we are forever grateful!

John's story continues now with a new eye doctor to correct his double vision as a result of his whole brain radiation!
Why would Fr Paul do such a thing? His point was to say in action - "I baptized these children into The Church... where have they been each week?" The point of bringing your child into The Church is to share with great JOY your Faith in Jesus, in Word, Body and Blood each week. We get to come to our Lord each week, not that we have to!
There is a lot of celebrating Rose today on the farm! I shared yesterday about how she heard her name at mass at The Easter Vigil about 5 years ago - "Rose Again" in the Creed and to this day we look at her when we say "rose again" and often call her that out of affection!
It just seems appropriate that today would be the feast of St Joseph the worker, as Rose had chores to do on the farm and is usually a very willing worker. She has a special memory of things with the cows, and is the chief bottler of baby calves over some years now.
We are called to bear fruit with our hands and mind,
ultimately for the building up of the Body of Christ.

On May 1, 1955, Pope Pius XII instituted the feast of St Joseph the Worker -
a day dedicated to the dignity of labor and to honoring workers.

Prayer to St. Joseph for Employment
Dear Saint Joseph, you were yourself once faced with the responsibility of providing the necessities of life for Jesus and Mary. Look
down with fatherly compassion upon me in my anxiety over my present
inability to support my family. Please help me to find gainful employment
very soon, so that this heavy burden of concern will be lifted from my
heart and that I am soon able to provide for those whom God has
entrusted to my care. Help us to guard against bitterness and
discouragement, so that we may emerge from this trial spiritually
enriched and with even greater blessings from God. Amen.
St Joseph the Worker, pray for us!
In the first reading today from Acts 13 - we hear about Paul and Barnabas being persecuted and thrown out of a town where they are sharing the Good News of Christ giving us Eternal LIFE! The final sentence is contrary to what you would think after being unjustly treated - The disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.
Yes, even though we are judged wrongly and all our morals and values are trampled under foot in this mixed up mess of a world... knowing Jesus, Mary and The Truth given to us by The Church fills us with so much JOY and The Holy Spirit is the cause of that as Jesus dwells within us if only we die to self so that we may become his hands and feet and voice!

Happy Birthday sweet Rose Again we love you so much, and love how you listen at mass and want to be there each week and are such a hard worker, like St Joseph the worker!
Lord, we are so grateful for prayer lifting us up over these last days. We continue to pray for Fr Mathias, and many other needs! Bless Rose Again in this new year ahead. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
