Rose was 9 yesterday and Birdie will be 1 in a week on Mother's day, but since it will be impossible to get together for her actual birthday we are gathering to celebrate this afternoon. It is a "B" Birthday Barbeque Bash for Birdie Barbara" and all things "B" are to be included. Some of her cousins are hoping a bouncy house, but that is probably not going to happen this year. Maybe when she turns 5 or so... seeing that she is not walking quite yet.
Since John is on lifting restrictions - we had this little one for most of mass today on this 5th Sunday of Easter! She was too cute and sweet and quite distracting as she would stand up and say "Hi" with a big smile to the people behind us, and when people went by to receive Eucharist - she held out her hand and many took it and held it as they passed by with big smiles under their masks. The JOY and LOVE that comes to us from the little ones, and her cuteness puts it over the moon!
I have fake plans to get some Birthday pictures of Rose Again in front of John's new beautiful fence that was put in last week! She has been told to wear her special dress for a day late birthday pictures.
Soon you will be up on those feet sweet girl. She is close indeed as she stands alone and even can be enticed to take a step.

LOVE the Gospel today and whenever I see John 15 - I know that it is the vine and the branches! How I love the Vine - The Church with Christ at the head! After I read the Gospel last night for today Pat asked me to get my dad's Bible and read John 6 - about the Eucharist. I knew that it would be marked up by him and so it was!
Jesus said to his disciples:
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower.
He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit,
and every one that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit.
You are already pruned because of the word that I spoke to you.
Remain in me, as I remain in you.
Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own
unless it remains on the vine,
so neither can you unless you remain in me.
I am the vine, you are the branches.
Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit,.." John 15
I have been taking birthday pictures all along this past month - she is such a wonderful sweet subject for grandma that I take way too many!
The birthday girl yesterday with the asparagus that we all enjoyed at her wonderful warm birthday dinner on the porch!

Birthday campfire where we had campfires as a family 30 years ago when Ruth was a little girl! We don't leave or camp - rather we have a place to enjoy family and get away from the work right out the door. Soon the new pool will be put up - Luke reported the day after school is done for the year!
A quick breakfast at the farm and then we are off to BBBBB - Birdie Barbara's Backyard Barbeque Bash! LOVE!
