Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to work I go...over the river and through the woods... the horse knows the way to carry the sleigh through the snow... I think that the winter of all winters is getting to me. It is beautiful, however, and today in morning prayer as it speaks about the saints and Mary wearing a robe of light - I think that I have a "vision" of it as I look outside... it is a very heavy "robe of light" but it is as though it is radiating out to all the world! She is not stuck in a pile of snow - she is allowing the snow to flow out in all directions cleansing and encompassing us with PURE LOVE! Well, it gets to the point where you have to think of the snow in some different terms... I think this is a classic case of cabin fever! "And over all these put on love, that is, the bond of perfection." Col 3:14
It is beautiful from the inside looking out, and occassionally grandmas and moms will go through the process of bundling the kids up and getting them out, or they have to go out to the car and go to preschool... If it is above zero out... I am sure that they get bundled up at school and go out to recess too! That is a lot of work for those teachers too!
The whole scene got a bit comical and caotic when grandpa got his hair cut by Ruth... the kittens were playing with his hairballs and little Davey was there to smile and watch the whole thing... we are getting down to the day to day things entertaining us and keeping us happy - but that is what life is all about! Blessed Mother, winter, kids and cats! With those in our lives... we muddle through and look for the spring in a few months... we know it will come and we will burst out of our houses and cars and jackets and hats and mittens and boots... and frolic in the grass and the sun! Sorry... we must be patient and find comfort in those everyday moments!
Jesus, go with us today - warm us with the Sonlight in our days as we see you in the face of all those that we love and serve... May we get up when we fall into the soft and beautiful snow of life and walk forward or ski forward into all that faces us armed with your love and joy and peace and look to eternal happiness... Jesus, we trust in you! Amen and Halleluia! Bless-bless, Barb
