Trust required time and time again!

I have been told that there continues to be "talk" about John and his two brother in laws leading the singing on Christmas day!  It was such a gift for us to gather as a family and for the guys to unite forces and step forward  in this wonderful way!  Tonight I am reminded of this way that John took the bull by the horns and organized this with Paul and Joe... we were touched deeply by worshiping together as a family a year after we faced cancer together as a family... Tonight I am much relieved after John spent the afternoon in a couple clinics up at the U of M with a high fever.  He was checked out and things are looking like a virus or something and he was told to use one more pennicillin each day and to use tylenol and ibuprofen to get the temp down.
He cannot go to school tomorrow as he might be contagious and he needs rest and fluids for a day... so he will probably rest a lot, and hopefully be good as new in a day or so.  We are grateful that he continues to face all the challanges of going to a huge University and coming through so well considering the loss of his immune system and all the rest!
Another reminder that God is in control and we can continue to trust... we have gotten this far and the road continues to go one step at a time and one day at a time.  How we have learned to trust and follow HIM!  Jesus, we trust in you!  Bless-bless, Barb and family
"We need to really believe what we claim to believe.  WE need to stop calling ourselves "Catholic" if we don't stand with the Church in her teachings - all of them.  But if we really are Catholic, or at least want to be, then we need to act like it with obedience and zeal and a fire for Jesus Christ in our hearts.  God gave us the Faith in order to share it.  This takes courage.  It takes a deliberate dismantling of our own vanity.  When we do that, the Church is strong.  When we don't, she grows weak.  It's that simple.
In a culture of confusion, the Church is our only reliable guide.  So let's preach and teach our Catholic beliefs with passion.  And let's ask God to make us brave to follow our faith to its radical conclusions." Archbishop Charles Chaput of Denver
