Tonight as the snow once again is coming down... John snuggled with his 2 year old Godson, David and watched Toy Story... A year ago on this day, John and I moved into our little yellow house in Rochester for what we thought could be up to 5 weeks... we started testing the following day and then found out later in the week that John had CR - Complete Responce, and for the first time his cancer was totally gone! WE like to call it Christ Rules! We had so many prayers and even a solid week of prayer- every single hour and minute of the 168 hours of the first week in December were totally PRAYER!
So surrounded by little ones.... we are counting our blessings tonight as we have a healed and healthy John... He found out this week that he scored a high B on his classes this semester! Taking a break with family and friends over the holiday has been restful and good and stress free - knowing that the cancer continues to be gone and that he is finding his way one step at a time! Cancer and recoery will be a powerful factor in how John will love and serve in this world! Jesus, we trust in you!
"The first person in the world to welcome Jesus, to recognize him in the womb of his own mother, was a child: John the Baptist. It is wonderful; God chooses an unborn child to announce the coming of his redeeming Son." Blessed Teresa of Calcutta
