The feast of the Transfiguration... baby Gus

So wonderful to be able to hold my new grandson, Augustine!  He was passed around at the shower, but I knew that I would be coming home with him and have relaxing time to spend with him and his parents, so I freely shared!
Lots of fun was had making creative veils for the two brides to be... they will now be fun for the rehearsal...  Little 5 year old Mikay stole the show as an adorable model!
The two beautiful and joyful brides-to-be are now all set for their big day... we showered them with much love and gifts, and soon we will be celebrating with them at each of their weddings!
Baby Gus found another grandma, who knew how to get him to smile, and charm one and all with his cooing!  How he loves to watch his mom, whenever she is in the room!  She is his everything, and so much better than toys!
Family time is always a gift to reconnect with those that share blood ties, and therefore will always be in your life and will be loved in a special and unique way.  Blessed be the tie that binds...
And bless these two couples as they take the step to marriage - may they embrace their most cherished Cross and hold tight to it... as it is the Tree of Life, and will fill their lives with LOVE and LIFE!
"Oh, mommy I am such a happy boy to have been born into this world out of your love.  You feed me with such wonderful milk... that I love so much and I am growing so healthy and big from our special time together.  You hold me close and you feed me... I love you mom, and I need you to be there for me all the days of my first amazing year of life!  I am changing every day, and the smiles I share are because I am happy and loved!  Jesus, we trust in you!"  Little Augustine saying these words with his eyes and smiles... as he watches his mother's every move!
Two other veils are modeled... My dear sister,Cathy, and I shared a wonderful conversation about the recent trip that I made to Lourdes with John, his dad, and my mother in law.  I shared how it was one of the most amazing parts of our trip to France... to see my 22 year old son, John, so in love with Our Lady... just gazing at her with such love and gratitude, for all that she has done for him in his healing of brain cancer!  John is well aware also of how I had prayed constantly to Our Lady throughout every day of our journey..."Mary is a part of every minute of every day of my life, so to have my son there showing his love and gratitude to her for that powerful day... was so like a dream-come-true for me!"  Cathy chimed in, saying that she too feels that way about Mary in her life!  "I went to the priest after my husband drowned in the river, and he told me that 'You have to know Our Mother... she was human and she watched her Son die knowing that he was God, and she is each of our mother's.'  She is so close to me and with me every minute of every day.  She is my most amazing mother!"  We both were wiping tears at this sharing, of something so deep for each of us, and something that we both shared, and were totally on the same page!   Then to share with her daughter... that she would be so blessed to learn to know her as a Mother too!  It was a Holy Spirit sharing, that touched us all very deeply!  Thank you, Lord!  Your mother is amazing, but I guess that you know that already!
Bless-bless, Barb
1After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. 2There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.3Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus.
4Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.”
5While he was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!”
6When the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified. 7But Jesus came and touched them. “Get up,” he said. “Don’t be afraid.” 8When they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus.
9As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, “Don’t tell anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.” Matthew 17:1-9
We asked to be transformed by your LOVE and LIGHT!
