St Clare teach us to live poor...

Maria... happy feast day!  We are forever changed and enriched by your choice of ST Clare over 12 years ago as your patron saint... chosen then only because her feast day was just 3 days before your birthday.  But later she was part of your looking at religious life in the Poor Clares!  Then we traveled with you on that journey of living behind the enclosure for 5 amazing and enriching months!
Your Goddaughter, Mary, sends her love to you.  We have plans to sit and paint pictures for you, and throw them in the mail in the midst of our doing corn today.

The Magnificat today describes the poverty of the Poor Clares in these amazing terms..."The Poor Clares, are renowned for the penitential austerity of their lives and the joy of their spirit."  Yes, we saw that amazing and beautiful JOY!

Loving Savior... we thank you for the blessings of all your saints and today on her feast day we are very close to dear St Clare!  She is a very dear freind and guide to help us on our journey.  Jesus, we trust in you.  The corn field is calling and the troops are arriving to freeze corn for the day.  Amen and Halleluia and Hosanna

Bless-bless, Barb
St Clare is known to chase away an army, that was attacking their monastery, by coming out holding Jesus in the monstrance and they fell back before her faith in the Lord!
