It was so wonderful to have a week with my 3 oldest girls and all of my grandkids... just kicking around in the sugar sand and putting our toes and bodies in the cool clear waters of the inland sea - Lake Michigan- on a very hot week back home and every where else. Maria reported that it was over 100 in Missouri, and we had had days like that before leaving Minnesota too!
Baby Gus was so wonderful to share the week with and everyone could see his sweet personality emerging at 2 months... the smiles are coming more regular and he turns his head to look at the little cousin - usually Therese- with her arms around him and giving him hugs and kisses.

Baby Augustine... it is so wonderful to have you here with us! You are named after the Doctor of Grace, and it is so wonderful to know that you have graced the lives of your parents, granparents, family - especially your 5 cousins- and the entire world will be a better place filled with your light! I am excited to spend a few days with you and to see how you are growing and changing in the light and love of your parents! Jesus, hold baby Gus close to your heart burning with love for him. Jesus, we trust in you! Amen and Hallelluia and Hosanna!
