"I want to be Sr Maria, Grandma."

Sitting by the lighthouse with all 6 grandkids, almost 2 weeks ago, after mass as a family on Saturday night... I was a bit nervous that I wouldn't be able to care of little Gus well enough,,, as I tired to keep the two Davids from pushing or grabbing him while we all perched on the steps.  Sweet Therese looks ahead at the camera with her smile, and loving hand resting gently on the head of baby Gus!  How she loves him, and was so excited to see him, and give him her rosary that she had made him in the airport... on her trip with mom and brother to join us for a week in Michigan.   We all felt a bit to be in a dream... to be suddenly allowed to share such a special week together, and for the little ones to get reaquainted and to just start to know their new little cousin, Augustine!  Although he has only been with us for 8 weeks... we love him and know him as a part of our family!
Each will, in time, find their path and consider the possible call to family or religious life.  Therese already sees the beauty of being a sister, and we all wonder if it could be true that a 3 year old can hear Christ calling her to him... all we know is that time will tell, and that she is a girl that is very much looking with love at the world around her, and putting others ahead of herself.  Quite amazing for a young girl in this day and age.  Jesus, we place our little ones in your hands, and we learn from their example of LOVE and LIFE!  Jesus, we trust in you!

"When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."  Mark 10:14
