I can't get over this picture! The sky and the hair reaching into it... yes, hair... but it just is such a glorious day filled with warmth and light, and this is just such an uplifting feel to it! Why can't hair be an expression of how we feel on the inside? And realizing the one writing this - the original perpetual child with my topknots complete with ribbons and hair accessories left over from the 4 girls I was blessed with! I certainly would be the first one to live this motto that our hair can express the way that we are feeling on the inside! I admit that on days that I am especially celebrating - I will make my topknot really high and wild and show the world that I am excited!!!! Silly, but it helps the child in me stay alive! And we all need to do that don't we? It was a beautiful morning with mass at 8a - with the 4 generations sharing it.... Afterwards I had the grandkids hold up their palm branches...
I edited this in red neon to really dramatize the excitement that this day is fortelling for us as Christians - I picked Red because that was the color of the vestments this morning, and the front of the Church had the desert cactus removed, and now there was red draped around the altar... we are entering HOLY WEEK - the Lord's Passion! We are remembering his Blood shed for us. As Father Paul reminded us today - if we were the only person in the world - Jesus would have suffered and died just the same! We have been saved by the Blood of the Lamb! That triggered the memory of a Ray Boltz song... I pledge allegiance to the Lamb
I would love to think that you listened to this and are reminded of what He did for us! It is wonderful - take the time to listen to this father telling his son about Jesus and His LOVE and how He gave us LIFE!
Jesus, we thank you for loving us even though we are so unworthy of that love. WE are sinners, and come to you on our knees, and ask for your forgiveness - "Your sins are forgiven. Take up your mat and walk!" You told us... as we were lowered through the roof by the prayers of our friends. NO matter how much we are called to give - we are willing to follow after you carrying our Most Cherished Cross! Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Halleluia
