Watching and waiting....

I think that the title of this sharing pretty much sums up what I do outside to assist my husband.  It usually isn't strenuous... just cuts into the flow of my day a bit.  I watch him do things, and wait for him to scrape the manure while I watch the gate, or fill the wagon with hay so that I can pull it a few miles home slowly.    It is a good thing that one of my most favorite secret hobbies is watching my husband farm!  He has always been so good looking and then to do all the facinating things that he has to do... well, it is kind of special for me.  I have adopted this time to say my rosary as I wait or travel slowly - about 22 miles an hour is tops - and that is heaven for me!  Then the other hand is usually full of my camera and capturing anything that might be worthy... I thought this one of him grinding the loader was in that category!  Sparks flying!
This butterfly must be migrating because I saw them around the barn while he was loading the hay behind me on the rack, and then this beauty sat on the pickup for me to get this great picture!  Thank you!  It is called a Vanessa atalanta atalanta - I just went to a butterfly ID site... There was also one in the house that Herbie the cat was trying to get...I put it outside and Herbie followed... he was on his own!  What a wonderful gift on this glorious day!

A day with watching and waiting as a hunky farmer husband is busy with his many jobs... made more challanging with the rain.  But we are overjoyed that it rained!
I am working overnight tonight, so he knows that I am not to be disturbed tomorrow when I come crawling home in the morning.  Someone else could be the one watching and waiting - John is going to be home about noon, and he has to do more actual helping out there with his dad.  How he loves to have help!  Thank you, Pat, for some nice time watching and waiting, praying and being amazed by this wonderful day and gloriously beautiful spring!

Bless-bless, Barb

"Soul of Christ, sanctify me

Body of Christ, save me

Blood of Christ, inebriate me

Water from Christ's side, wash me

Passion of Christ, strengthen me

O good Jesus, hear me

Within Thy wounds hide me

Suffer me not to be separated from Thee

From the malicious enemy defend me

In the hour of my death call me

And bid me come unto Thee

That I may praise Thee with Thy saints

and with Thy angels

Forever and ever

Amen "
