Miraculous Applesauce!

Flashback - kids getting off the bus and running up the driveway!  It is funny how that little thing can fill me with much excitement to listen to the dogs barking and looking out the front window and see the big yellow bus with the 3 kids bursting off it.  The dogs go running to meet them, and there is a lot of patting and wagging of tails.  This morning Simon left his bike at the end of the driveway  so that he could ride up to the house with the backpacks.
Late this morning the phone rang and it was Hallel!  She is in Kansas City and knows that we are heading that way tomorrow.  The request was for applesauce, and I sadly told her that we have no apples this year.  She sounded disappointed yet understanding and told me that their foundress - Little Sister Marie likes our applesauce.  Well... within  a couple hours I had 4 pails full of apples and now after a big afternoon of work - I have filled every jar we have and some that Nancy brought with her, and I now have 45 quarts of applesauce on the cupboard to take to Kansas City tomorrow!  When the Lord wants something to happen - He doesn't mess around!  Thank you Raterra for taking me to the golf course with 4 pails and filling them in short order!
Thank you Pat and Mary for helping out too!
School snack of fresh applesauce!  Then they discovered putting a scoop of icecream on top made it taste like applecrisp and ice cream!  Thanks Hallel for your call to me and the Lord to provide your community with applesauce on a year when we hardly have an apple on the trees!  Next week we hope to go and get another 6 pails to make some for us over the year and then my mom loves our applesauce too!  Many would be let down with no applesauce this year, and that is not to be!  Thank you, Lord.  You provide for all those you LOVE.  Yes, I am very tired tonight yet it feels awfully good to see all that nice applesauce in the jars that was apples growing on the tree at noon today, or laying on the ground with no one to use them.  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Bless-bless, Barb
A feast day treat - ice cream and fresh warm applesauce!  The Most Holy Name of Mary!
