Along with the feast of St Francis - we are reminded by the 5 months that Maria lived with the Poor Clares discerning a vocation to cloistered life. It was truly powerful and one that people questioned - why women would go behind the enclosure and spend their lives in prayer for the needs of the world. I can think of nothing more needed or powerful for this world of darkness! They continue to be our friends/family, and if there is a need we have them praying with us! John and Patrick - we had them praying as some of our prayer warriors extraordinary! When Maria was home in a snowy April to be here for Hallel's home visit... she took her 3 kids back to the monastery to meet the community of Poor Clares that she lived with for those months. They were thrilled to meet the miracle boy, Patrick! And he to meet them. Maria set him on the table on the other side of the enclosure and they all found great JOY watching his smiles of health! Thank you St Francis and St Clare, there is no doubt that you were part of the healing of our Patrick and John! Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barb
