Yes, the runny nose is very real to my world, and normally I would have wiped it first, but we are hanging out as grandma tries to multitask and it happened since the last time I wiped it moments before. The ice cream bar is a series of snacking that happens at grandma's house... yes, it was handed to me at this stage and I had to help her eat it, with grandma taking the final bite and throwing the stick. We shared a busy morning starting with giving Pat a ride out to the tractor, going in to mass at the Catholic School as Mary and her second grade class were doing the mass today. It was all about going to God when we are in need and helping one another in need. Very wonderful and special! Then we came home with two extra kids and lots of tractors and trucks coming and going. Sharing a late breakfast with a table full, and then boys off to farm with grandpa and Uncle Paul, and grandma and Rose left to clean up and shortly take brother to pre-school and run errands. It is a big blurry mess of family on the farm and it is very good, but a bit overwhelming at times... harvest time is truly the highest time of energy and activity and family pitching together!
David and Rose by the Holy Water font at the back of the chapel - this will be very familiar to them over the years - the first 9 of their education, and for the younger ones all those years of going to the activities of their older siblings. David already stands on the aisle and shakes hands or high 5's many from Simon's class down. It was so wonderful to be there this morning with my two oldest girls and their babies - they have spent their first 9 years here and have many fond memories of mass here over the years! So special! Now little Rose is out on the deck right by me here playing with the cat and two dogs on a beautiful day - her giggles give me a jolt of great JOY throughout my heart, mind, and soul!
Jesus, the world these days is kind of crazy yet wonderfully filled with Faith, Family, and Farm! Keep all safe as there is so much happening and the farmers as they work long and hard taking the crop out. Thank you for all that fills our days with YOU. Today you reminded us of your LOVE for us and all we need to do is ask, seek, and knock and YOU are there with all that we need that truly is of importance in LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT! Jesus, we trust in YOU. Amen and Hallelujah
