One our of 7 looking at me and smiling... well, that is about what you would expect and it is truly a picture of life... some happy, some sad, some mad, some distracted, some worried, one looking when asked. To me the pictures of real life are wonderful and a true keepsake for years to come, and there is something about the black and white that makes it timeless. To me to see every face and even though they are not looking and smiling that they aren't intentional ugly faces made to destroy the picture... I had warned David this time he had better not even think about doing that, as he had just ruined some pictures by the garden a few days ago!
More smiling at dad playing with the dog... Nancy's family has been reunited with their husband/dad, Bill! How we loved having them and now we await the arrival of our newest grandson! It seems that the picture is never complete with our family in Texas rarely with us and our Hallel in France much of the time, and the new ones we pray without ceasing for in the womb! But isn't that true with how the time flies by and we all grow older and change - most especially the little ones! The picture is never final or complete and there is always a new one that we yearn for to cherish as life goes on and changes - filled with LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT!! Jesus, today in the Gospel you reminded us that You have chosen us. May we always know in our hearts that you are at work and that just as we are growing up and aging in our physicalness that we are also growing up spiritually and need to take time for spiritual reading, prayer, meditating over your readings - The Word - for each day, your sacraments, your Saints to show us the way and to intercede for us, for Our Spiritual Mother, Mother of God... did you know that one of her titles and jobs is undoer of knots? Too cool! Well, may I die more to self so that you may live always and do your works through me, my Jesus. Jesus, I trust in YOU. Amen and Hallelujah
Augustine and Bernadette a year ago...
A few days ago... when I see them next they will have changed some more - always growing and developing. Nancy said that Bill will be surprised at how much Bernadette has changed in these last two weeks! So happy they are back together, but we will miss them greatly!
